Bar Tanner Smith's reviews
17 Grabbed a few drinks after a show at Carnagie hall, so first plus was how easy to walk from the venue to the bar was. The staff were welcoming, as we were greeter by a complimentary coat check upon entering.
Drinks were very well made, I made a few of their house mules, with Hendrix in place of the traditional vodka. Service was solid, and I have no complaints about the price given the location. Worth checking out.
Young Crowd, upbeat atmosphere, funky fast foods but limited options, good variety of drinks, very very courteous stuff.
It has section which can be closed off for private parties. Thumbs up from my end.
The Eastside drink served in the teapot was so delicious. Dancing up front, nice and secluded in the back.
The cocktails at this place are delish! We tried almost everything on the cocktail menu and we were not disappointed. The bartenders are super sweet and have a very pleasant demeanour. The crowd is good, the whole place has a very good vibe. This place definitely promises a good time!
Excellent drinks and excellent bar tender but sadly they need their snacks menu to be a bit more inclusive (particularly dairy and meat free options)
Exactly what I wanted on my last day in New York for the 1st time! A Manhattan in Manhattan and live music! Perfect!
Extremely underrated cocktail bar with a fantastic bar team. Always look forward to stopping by, and always leave happy
Super cute teatime cocktail here! The quality of food is also quite good.
Our waiter was a bit misleading saying that one pot serves 4. The tea is probably enough for 2 servings.
Exceptional food and amazing staff! We ordered the food and picked it up late in the night and not only was the food delicious, the staff/cooks went above and beyond to ensure we got everything we asked for in an organized manner ranging from sauces, desserts, and utensils. Believe me, not all restaurants do this and sometimes just throw things in a bag and wish you good luck on your way out that you got everything you paid for - not this place! We can't wait to go back and give them even more business!
This place is fantastic! My friend and I dined here last night before catching Gary Gulman at Carnegie Hall (thanks for sharing all those details). Sean the host/manager was so patient with me as I was contemplating sitting outside, inside etc etc. (My friend and I ended up sitting outside in this very cute enclosed area with heat lamps). Mike escorted me out to the table and within minutes, Josh our waiter showed up.
My friend and I split the eggplant chips and forest mushroom flatbread - both delish! I had a glass of prosecco and chardonnay. Portions are a great size and we were both stuffed afterwards.
The food, service, ambiance across the board were fabulous.
We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Great place for a drink! The cocktails are fun and tasty and the tap list is good so there’s something for everyone. They’ve got great outdoor space too.
I had to try Tanner Smith. Tea with a little extra? Count me in.
I’m the center of it all Tanner smith has the most beautiful rustic with a dash of the 60’s feel. The decor is just to die for. You can decide if it’s a dressed up type of day or casual. We weren’t as hungry because we ate just before going there. We had the charcuterie board and one of the afternoon teas, with tea-quilla….
The preserve that was served on the charcuterie board was quite the highlight of the fuse along with the stuffed dates. It was very well paired.
We had the east side cocktail but asked our very nice waitress to sub the gin for tequila.
Overall best experience ever at an affordable cost.
My Ruben sandwich was delicious. Drinks were good. Just wish we had ventured downstairs instead of sitting at the bar by the front door. Downstairs had a different low key vibe
then the main floor was more loud and social. Prices were fair compared to other restaurants in the area.
Nice cozy space and a large outdoor seating area too. Service at the bar was attentive and the drinks were fine.
I'm pretty sure my drink was spiked and I was robbed by someone on staff at this place last summer.
Smoke old fashion is amazing! The bar tender made drinks the fastest I've ever seen. It's big inside and very chill here and the plus I can hear my friend when I talk.
The vibe, food and drinks were all great! The service and ambience were as well. Mood lighting and music at a volume where you can still have a conversation with the rest of your party. Highly reccomend the flatbread pizza and 'gut shot' beverage.
