Tarrytown Music Hall reviews
12Nice old music hall with a lot of history. Seating is tight for bigger people. Guy behind me bumped my seat several times. Saw Gordon Lightfoot. He was hard to hear at times and couldn't carry a tune. He's 83. Too many inconsiderate people on their phones and talking. Still glad I went. Gordon retire!
Saw Al Franken here. Enjoyed the show, venue size is good, but parking is lacking. Expect to park 5-10 mins from venue.
Went to see the Righteous Brothers with Bill Medley, Bucky Heard and their fantastic band tonight. Fantastic show!
Drove all the way to tarrytown to see a show for my fathers birthday only to get denied entry because none of us are vaccinated. Not anywhere was this information listed on tickets and or before booking. Nys has lifted all covid regulations, cases are low to non existent but we were refused entry on the music halls policy.
Historic, local theater in a fun Hudson Valley town that is welcoming, comfortable, and attracts great headliners. Easy to get to, parking can be a challenge so get there early, follow the Covid guidelines and you’ll have a wonderful experience.
Beautiful views of the TZ Bridge, Hudson River, great dining and shopping in walking distance from the theater.
Really great venue with tons of history. Saw Pink Floyd The Machine here. It was great, lighting was really great too. Don’t forget to look up at the ceiling and how pretty the Music Hall is See my pictures. Easy access in, just don’t forget your Covid Card and a gaze up at the ceiling.
Lovely Theater.not a bad seat in the house.
Every patron asked to show proof of vaccination and confirm identification before entering. GREAT. However I was consistently harassed for taking my mask down to catch my breathe or sip my beer.so much so that I was threatened with physical removal and a possible police call to have me arrested for trespassing. I chose to the the show at intermission to avoid and further confrontation. I'd say hold off buying a ticket to any show right now.the vibe is very uncomfortable.
My husband and I went to the Fabulous Four Women Comedians yesterday starring Ophera from NPR. It was a wonderful show. I thought the Tarrytown Music Hall was a charming theater, well kept up, adorably decorated, wonderful acoustics and larger than you would expect! Can’t wait to go to more shows at the Tarrytown Music Hall!
Nice old theater. We saw Larkin Poe there. If you are tall, don't get seats in the balcony. Not much leg room there.
Have seen many shows here over the years. Won't be back for awhile. Proof of vaccination to get in, ok, I get it. But then forced masking inside throughout the entire night. It's a farce. The mask police walking around shining flashlights in peoples faces checking to see if a mask is put back in place after sipping a drink. Just awful for the enjoyment of a show.
I kinda love this spot. First couple rows of the balcony is the sweetspot for sound but really the whole place is wonderful. Intimate old and funky. Acoustic acts practically need no sound system. The seats are ancient, cramped and uncomfortable, you'll definitely get to know your neighbor.
Tarrytown Music Hall is awesome. Great staff and I've seen a few shows here. Due to plans falling through I was unable to attend a show, they graciously offered to refund or exchange the tickets. I don't think I have ever been able to do that for any of the many concerts I have attended and it goes to show their commitment to the fans and community. Awesome spot!
