Taste NY Market at the Capital Region Welcome Center

Nice clean area to stop and rest and stretch your legs. The Vending machines are expensive and never in service. The Market is nice, with some good selections of snacks, but like everything on the Throughway, it's expensive. The coffee is good.)

Basically good for the bathroom stop, food selection on the North side is very limited, you have to take the ramp over to the South side and walk over to get better food selection & gas. Poor planning for a fairly New Rest stop.

Still our most favorite rest stop along the Thruway. We stop here every time, and it's always perfectly clean and fully staffed. There is simply no better stop along the way to where we travel, both north and south. Besides, Just ask our dog; he loves the scents and we'll established character of the other animals who have left their mark as well

Clean and nice, but for services (gas, Starbucks, etc.) you have to cross over the highway and it's a bit of a pain. Service area refabs on the through way are still ongoing which is playing havoc with access

Welcome center to the capital region that showcase what the capital region has to offer. There is also a market that sells NY products. Clean bathrooms and tons of parking space

Nice Cafe in the NY welcome center. They have a nice selection of snacks and local treats. The displays of Albany area history is very interesting.

Very nice place to stop into. Many local NY products to pick up. Great for gifts or personal consumption. Friendly outgoing staff who were knowledgeable.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience here today November 04,2023. The customer service is terrible in the tasteNY, because if you buy a baked product you expect it to warn, my husband and I bought some bake goods and they delivered them cold, I had not left the store and I asked the guy who works in the store if he can warn up the food for me. And he told me that he will not touch the bag of products that he already sold and they will not heat it by order of the FDA. That has never happened to me anywhere else, I will never buy anything here again which is sad because I really like the capital region rest area but I rather go somewhere else where I can find a more friendly place to stop and get my breakfast

Best rest area in New York! They have food and other things such as soaps and gifts from local artisans and a play area which is well maintained and a good distraction for road wary kids and parents.

This place is absolutely fantastic! Check out the photos and videos that I post here because there's so many special unique products and you'll wish you had a $1000 to just fill your pantry with everything they have for yourself and awesome gifts to share. Clean store, friendly staff, I look forward to returning.

Ease of use for traveling! Clean rest rooms, hot amd cold drinks w NY based snacks and sandwiches.

Need MORE electric car chargers. Beautiful place. Very clean including bathrooms. Kids love to get out and move around and play.
