I love Tate’s baked goods but the online ordering experience has been an absolute nightmare! I ordered blondies as a gift for my brother on 12/11/22. They were supposed to be delivered on 12/13. I was sent a shipping notice on 12/12 with a UPS tracking number. IT WAS NEVER SHIPPED! I called on 12/23 when I noticed and was promised they would fix it. I got another shipping notice. NOTHING WAS EVER SHIPPED! I called again on 12/27. I was promised someone would call me. I haven’t heard anything and it’s January 5th. Unbelievable! They charged me for my order and for shipping and never sent the items. I’ll be disputing the charge on my credit card. Worst customer service ever!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Their cookies taste a**. Their cookies taste like I bit into a very bitter chunk of dirt and cardboard. I'm not kidding when I say that. I literally would rather eat the saltiest slab of soap ever than them damn cookies. I would recommend not coming here. Please go across the street and get something way better than that. I promise you if you go to this Tate's bakery you'll regret it.

As a union member since 1972, I have been reading that Tate's is THREATENING employees with deportation if they want to join a union. If that is true, I'll never buy any Tate's products. That really shows what kind of people they REALLY are! That is disgusting.

Visit Date: November 11,2022

I took my son here on Veteran's day. He was off school, I was off work and his dad was okay with me picking him up early. We stopped at three different places in the Hamptons that day. I need to be way more careful with my money so we just picked up two cookie packs and I got a coffee. There is so much here, so many baked goods, so many coffee choices. It was nice to see the original tate's bake shop. If you can make the visit here it's worth it.

Packaged cookies were quite intense to eat. It literally breaks in your hands. Idk. Maybe it’s better freshly baked in person.

Good crispy chocolate chip cookies. These "Tiny Tates" are pretty cool and just the right size to get your fix. Next time I go back up to Long Island I'm going to try to visit the shop in person but glad they sell them in retail stores like Publix. Milk please? !?

Went here on a recommendation, and the baked goods did not disappoint!
The staff was pleasant and patient. We ordered two lattes and sadly one employee (Teresa) was rude about making them and was clanging dishes around, she did not even call out our beverages when they were done.
Other than that, our visit was a delight.

Great treats, one of the highlights of our trip. This is the shop run by the creator of the cookies sold in the grocery store

I have never visited a TATES BAKESHOP. I have only eaten their chocolate chip cookies purchased in super markets. I have never been impressed with their cookies. Now, I am less so. I recently purchased (3) three (1) one oz.green bags of TATE'S "TINY THIN SCRUMPTIOUS" CHOCO CHIP COOKIES. What a HOOT! These less than US QUARTER sized cookies with their even tinier choco.chips are a real hoot! Threre is nothing to them! If TATE'S BAKE SHOP WANTED TO REALLY PULL DOWN A JOKE ON US CONSUMERS TATE' s could bake these TINY, THIN COOKIES
50 % SMALLER and LABEL them as INVISIBLE, TINY THIN SCRUMPTIOUS CHOCO. CHIP COOKIES! That change would be an even more hilarious pull the blinders (or aprons) over the US consumer! Never again will I buy into TATE's shrinking cookie agenda. Never again!

I would have given zero stars if I could. These are the most disgusting cookies I have ever eaten. Well, tried to eat. All I can taste is salt! When I bite into a cookie the last thing I want to taste is salt! Cookies are meant to be sweet not salty. I've tried the chocolate chip, the dark chocolate chip and the gingersnap cookies and all of them were extremely salty. This is the last time I will waste my money on cookies I can't even give away because anyone that I've offered them to takes one bite and spits them out! Don't waste your money people!

What a fun place to visit. It's one of my daughter's favorite bakeries to stop at whenever we go out east. This time we'd stopped enroute to the Shinnecock Labor Day Pow Wow and were thrilled that we had. Everything looked so delicious that we knew we weren't leaving empty handed or empty stomached, as usual. Though there's often a long line, it moves relatively quickly, and gives you time to browse and pick up extra goodies. It's great for gifts as well as filling those personal whims.
