Bartender had an attitude with guests but hey, it's NYC I get it. There was a lack of security inside the venue. Only one bouncer in front.

My friends and I always come here since we frequent Bia’s right across the street. Alex, the miserable woman at the door, has the most disgusting attitude I have ever come across. She should not be allowed to communicate with customers. She shouted "They can go! They can leave if they don't want to support! " and expected me not to have a response to her very rude and extremely uncalled for comment. We come here WEEKLY and never had any issues until she caught a random attitude at the door. I suggest that she takes a course in effective communication and basic professionalism because to be as old (and wrinkly) as she was, she should know a thing or two. This spot just lost frequent customers because of Alex and I suggest this review is taken into account before Alex ever disrespects the wrong person but then again it's real easy to disrespect customers behind a security guard. Besides my terrible experience on this particular weekend, on any other given day of the week, the music/DJ is GARBAGE (caters to a specific type of person.if you catch my drift) and the drinks are extremely overpriced. If your bartender is miserable like all the ones I've come across here at TBA, then the drinks will also be weak as hell. My friends and I would usually walk in during the week (after having a GREAT TIME at Bia's across the street, I highly recommend!) to see what the vibe was since this dumpster is right across the street from Bia's and it was always a huge disappointment so really, we aren't missing out on anything at all by not spending our $ here.

Update: My problem was not with the $10 entrance fee, $10 is nothing and any drink inside would have cost more than $10. My problem was with Alex being a miserable troll at the front door and management's inability to rectify the situation. ONE AGAIN, this place is really trash. Do we really expect the "owner" to admit to any wrongdoings? LOL This place really needs better management and some actual training on how to run a business.

The place between because the 4th of July was the only thing open in BROOKLYN at that time, I really didn't like it because it's not my type of music that was always the same rhythm with different tones, the bartender's attention was very good and the price was absesible I recommend it to those who like euphoric music but personally I would not return to the place NOT BECAUSE IT IS A BAD PLACE BUT BECAUSE IT IS NOT THE ENVIRONMENT THAT I LIKE

Great vibe and even better music! Everyone I talked with was very friendly and we all connected by dancing together and just having a nice night.

Real nyc house music comes here.straight up sound room with a bar may seem no frills at first glance but what you'll realize if you let go and look is that everyone around you in the room actually likes music and has come for that.unlike the places like house of yes and elsewhere where fakers turn out in droves because IG told them to, this place is the real deal without the bs.posers do not turn up to ruin the mood.you might actually meet someone here you would be a proper match with.before online dating, places like this where real music fans come together were essential. I happen to think they still are.love to this spot

I do not recommend it, the place is not safe at all, we were coming out and some guys start the fight and no one from the place help or reported to the police

Way to make a good first impression. Go to the bar, ask for a shot of Maker and an Allagash. "We don't have Allagash. " "Okay, then gimme a Sour Monkey. " (these were all menu items). "We don't have Sour Monkey. " "Okay, gimme a Stella. " Figured since it was on draught couldn't possibly go wrong right? Nope. Bartender starts to pour it and the draught literally runs dry not even 1/8 of the way filled up. "Okay, gimme a Mermaid Ale. " He starts rummaging through the fridge, and at this point I lost my patience and told him to just give me a Montauk since it was the closest thing I could see. Tell him to forget the shot and give him my card and, after all that trouble I went through, I'm greeted with "There's a ten dollar minimum. "

I understand that it's Wednesday night and things are quieter than weekends, but I don't think I've ever had such an awful experience trying to get a drink at any bar anywhere with such blatant apathy for the customer to boot. Sound system was good and pizza was fine for what it was despite taking forever with only 20 or so people in the entire room.

Amazing venue for electronic music. Danced all night to some great vinyl. Bar wasn't packed and people were friendly.
