Teaching Presence reviews
3Working with Holly is an experience I could not recommend enough. She is a kind, thoughtful, and kindred spirit who is a pleasure to work with. Holly helped me find ground and connection to my body, create healthier mindsets and find more genuine characters. Loved every moment of her class. Thank you Holly!
I am convinced that Holly is magical. The perspective she takes on acting technique is unlike anything I’ve ever tried and allowed me to really tap into my emotional and physical healing. Her teaching is fiercely inclusive and individual, and I love the way she champions artists’ values. I really want to continue studies in Alexander Technique thanks to Holly, and I will apply her techniques in my everyday life as well as my performance. I feel like my emotions are much more connected to my body and I understand how and why thanks to her. She also has the most calming presence I have ever been around, and I enjoyed every second.
Working with Holly has been a game changer. As a young opera singer, I’ve often been told to “drop my walls”, but Holly helped me understand that my nervous system creates those walls for a reason. Instead of pushing those walls down and making my nervous system feel even more unsafe, Holly helped me find ways to orient to a space and connect with it and my scene partners. I now can sing with greater connection and honesty. I feel greater freedom in my body, too, both on and off stage. Would absolutely recommend to artists of all disciplines (and even to folks who don’t identify as artists!). Thank you Holly!
