Wine Bar Terroir reviews
20Delightful, quirky place. Good food and wine, and an interesting atmosphere. Suitable for a medium - sized group.
Amazing amazing wine bar! Chill good vibes not stuck up great for wine nerds and friends of wine nerds likewise. Came back twice in two days, JP is great!
Great spot to catch up with a friend over drinks and finger foods.extensive wine list and delicious draft beers.they do have lots of things I don’t mention or have in the picture.it’s not inexpensive but then again this is Tribeca, right? !?
I wish this place had more Riesling on the menu.
I had one of the greatest wine bar experiences of my life.
Awesome wine bar with a punk attitude and great wine selection. Have a ton of stuff available by the glass and in tasting pours so you can sample a wide variety of wines. Great places to get drinks and a snack before dinner or to have a meal. Although I only visited NYC this will be one of the spots I return to whenever I’m back again!
Must visit! Especially if you’re a Riesling lover, it’s an essential pilgrimage. Flight of 3 for $30.
Excellent wine bar offering tastings of a large section with a focus of riesling, the flights of riesling ans pinot noir were interesting and fairly priced. The good was excellent, especially the steak tartare. We will certainly return.
Over 100+ wines by the glass. The most informative, insane, diverse wine list you’ve ever seen in your life. Good vibes and people. Come in for a glass, stay for the bottle.
Rude waitress. Came there as a wine enthousiast asking about Riesling and the waitress started correcting me about my English. Not a nice atmosphere.
Wine list is amazing - lots of different wines, various regions. I'd come back just to sample these. They also have tasting nights. 5 stars here.
Low rating is due to the Food: honestly really really average. The Korean wings were over battered, under flavored, and I have no idea where the sambal was (I lived in SoEast Asia & love sambal). The flammenkuchen was more like a flat bread (flammenkuchen isn't meant to have yeast - it's supposed to be flat and crispy, it's not a pizza). I'd rather the restaurant call dishes as they are (aka fried chicken wings, flat bread) than use colloquialisms that are incorrect.
I will say: The pig in a blanket was tasty.
And the outdoor seating was warm enough to dine.
Bill was $120 with tip for 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer, wings & a flat bread. Boo.
They have an awesome menu and the service staff are very friendly too. It's a great place for the family for some great food and a fun time.
A real gem in tribeca. This wine bar boasts friendly, expert staff that can help you find a great wine and help you learn about new wine. Food is excellent and consistent great over the years. Great place to get a nice glass of wine and people watch!
Cringey millennial spot; you’ll enjoy this place if “you’re into craft beer” and “listen to the fleet foxes”
and oh the wings were undercooked
My only complaint was the server we had, Jessica.
The interaction started with me asking "Is the Riesling pet nat sweet at all? " To which she replied "No, pet nats are always dry. " Which is completely false, there are a bunch that are off-dry/semi-sweet, sometimes the yeast dies before fermenting all the sugars in the bottle, but I wasn't there in somm mode and wasn't going to make another servers life hard. I could've overlooked that but her tone insisted it was a ridiculous question and she insisted I try it after I told her twice that I was fine without a test pour.
My girlfriend is still learning and figuring out her palate for wine, all she knows is dry and sweet in terms of descriptors, and has trouble describing what she likes whenever she's in restaurants or retail shops, so she gets anxious when put on the spot and asked certain wine questions, even the basic ones. So with me around, she's willing to try new wines in many different styles and develop her palate. So when I specifically asked for the two glasses of Pet Nat, it was for us to drink together, specifically for her to try another type of sparkling wine. Jessica, I assume saw this as me speaking for the both of us and asks her "What do YOU like? " and proceeds to give her something that wasn't asked for, as if she was doing her a favor.mind you, my girlfriend's response to this question was simply "dry".
Next we get to the cheeses. We already knew we wanted the Jane Jacobs and had an idea of which 2 of the 3 cheese we wanted, and the saucisson sec was an absolute must. The cheese list was somewhat foreign to us and as we were trying to finish up our choices Jessica goes "Do you need more time? " This question was asked a total of three times-she never had to wait more than 5 seconds for a decision to be made. Typically, a good server would give suggestions, or walk you through it in someway, even give you their personal favorites, but instead she was ready to just go and do the next task, building absolutely zero connection with the guest, and the place wasn't packed by any means at the time we came in.
Fantastic experience - Jamba was a fantastic waitress and Paul is also an incredible character. We had a great time learning about the menu and wine from them - tip, ask them what wine to go with (the wine menu is purposely intimidating). Burger and the pigs in the blanket were great as well. Will certainly be returning now that we’re in the neighborhood. Cheers!
Insane wine list with ZERO pretense and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Convivial atmosphere and a come-as-you-are bar!
Super fun place to both enjoy and learn about wine. Paul and Emily Ann are very passionate about wine, which made for an awesome tasting! It’s an awesomely unpretentious, interesting, and quirky wine spot. WE’LL BE BACK
The best brie i have ever had. Every single cheese and meat was fantastic! Employees are extremely friendly along with the owner not to mention the beautiful outdoor seating! Overall the best charcuterie restaurant i’ve ever been to.
The most wonderful spot if you love wine, are a casual wine drinker, or just learning! Selection of so many delicious and interesting wines with amazing staff who are excited to help you find a wine you like, and talk all about the wines they bring.
SO GOOD! NH mice in NYC, trying wines we cannot get in our state, and the food.wow! And Clyve, our wait person/Somm for the night - all the right recommendations, and everything paired well together. Looking forward to our next visit!
