The Ale House reviews
16 Despite the explosion of craft breweries and beer bars in the area, the Ale House is still the best for beer lovers. They've been serving craft beer for far longer than anyone else, and unlike most other establishments, they have many styles that range beyond the over hopped IPA's or over roasty stouts which dominate almost every other place.
Service is great. Their pizza is awesome.
Cozy bar, but the down lighting is a little harsh.
The constantly changing selection of craft beer is fantastic. The pizza is to die for. It's a comfortable bar where you don't have to worry about riff-raff or overserved people. It's really a Cheers-like experience.
Pretty chill place, music not too loud, everyone is friendly and the food is decent. Good beer too!
I started coming here in 2000. Knew the owners. Great people. Went here before I graduated with some friends and had a blast.
Great Little Bar, Huge Selection of Beer. Definitely start a beer tour, you won't be disappointed.
One of the local gems. The place has its own unmistakable ambiance. The beer selection is pretty good and is unlike any other place in town.
Loved it!
Good selection of craft beers and liquors with a knowledgeable staff. Get the home-made spicy mustard with something. You won't regret it.
First time I've ever been given a menu for the NA beers they have! They had some great options. Food was pretty great too.
The selection of beer is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly. The only thing I can say is that I had a great experience. Just a heads up, it is a small place so there's not much seating.
Small place. Only lots of different beer and snacks. No real food however. Had to go somewhere else to eat properly. Beer was better than standard US beer.
For some reason, I’ve never been here before. I’ve been missing out! Lots of beer choices! Also signed up for the beer tour! Can’t wait to complete 60 unique beers.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, unpretentious clientele. This is a place worth going back to. Don't forget to tip your waitress.
Pretty disappointed in our last visit, but previous visits have been better. Beers were a plus, anyway.
It was busy, and the server didn't write down our order. We had a pretzel as an app, middle was kind of cold. The cook (I think) brought the food. Burger was unimpressive. Pork spiedies were served instead of the steak sandwich that was ordered.stated I'd ordered something else and was told, "That's what was written down. "
No offer to make what I'd actually ordered, so tried the pork and was pretty disappointed in it overall, along with the whole experience this visit. The server did apologize for the mistake just before we left.
I understand being busy, but some small changes could've still left me a satisfied customer despite the "mistakes". It's knowing how to handle certain situations appropriately and pleasantly. Hoping it was just an off night.
Fantastic pizza, exquisite beer, and coziest atmosphere you could look for. Forget everything and spend hours at the Ale House. You won't regret it!
Nice little pub with a good craft beer mix. Decent sandwiches at a decent price. Music not so loud that you can't hear the person/people you are with talking. Good place to go for some good beers with some good friends to have good conversation.
Good food, 36 taps a rotating bottle selection and a great atmosphere. It the beer joint of your dreams.
