The Andrew Hotel reviews
18Thank you Sheryl for always being so helpful. You are AWESOME! Definitely a great hotel. Location is perfect, rooms are clean, and staff is great. Thank
If I could give zero stars then I would but that is not an option. When we first arrived at 3pm they told us the elevator did not work then put us on the third floor which was unfortunate because my husband just had knee surgery. We were able to get it switched to the 2nd floor. By 4am we were packed up and on our way to cancel our 2 night reservation. The room wasn’t properly cleaned, the heat did not work and it is 16degrees outside our room was 56 degrees. Now we are both sick and it is 6am and we are looking for somewhere else to stay. I am currently waiting for my refund. DO NOT BOOK HERE.
I had a horrible experience staying at this property.
I had an agreement with "manager" Brian of $92 per night and complimentary parking for a long term stay. DO NOT PAY this people in advance or they will be never "adjust" the bill. They kept a large hold on my cc for a long time. At the end i was charged more than 3k dollars some nights as high as $200per night without even telling me, very sneaky and dishonest. The elevator never worked so I had to use the stairs every day to the 3rd floor.
The heavy smell of Marijuana is always present around the building so bad that it kept tripping the fire alarm at 4am sometimes wakingup guests. My freshly painted car got hit in different occasions. I always parked correctly and away from other vehicles while other guests parked over the lane. He still has the nerve to email me and ask for more money. I don't owe you anything. You owe me and will be disputing charges that we never agreed.
Staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend using their valet service because parking is difficult. We only stayed 1 night but i needed to get my car a few times and was only charged per day rather than each time I needed to leave. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious! It was a good experience.
Honestly people are just hard to please. I stayed one night at this hotel and it was great the front desk was extremely nice and they care about your stay and you as a person. Reading other reviews people expect a casino like Cesar’s or something when that’s not the case. From this hotel you can expect a decently cleaned room and bathroom without it smelling a certain way a TV that works and a bluetooth radio to play your music if you want. In my stay I didn’t see any stains on my sheets in the hall ways tables or anything it was a decent hotel and quiet. The most i heard from inside my room was people in the hallways heading to they’re room either way this hotel was great and so was the staff!
Absolutely a hotel I would recommend and will be going back too!
The elevator was only working to the 2nd floor. But, due to holidays and Covid it’s just hard to get good people to work and fix things the correct way now a days. They choose to put customers first and wait until the company that has experience working on the elevator can get to them…. But, with that being said. The staff was very very accommodating 24/7 brought up and took down our luggage and Valet parking…. Well worth the 19.00 per day. They brought ice to our room on the 4 floor since the elevator only went to the 2 nd floor. They Brought fresh towels and pillows…they cleaned our room while we went out for the day! Absolutely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in…very clean and accommodating. The cost was amazing as well. Thank you Bryon! Charlene and I will be back! We didn’t get to meet the famous Cheryl this time around. Maybe next trip! Be safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New year to the staff and families at The Andrew Hotel! Chrissy from Ohio! Yes, it is me on the bed in the pictures! LOL
This is the second time my wife and I stayed here and the quality of our stay has really gone downhill. The elevator was broken so we had to walk up to the 3rd floor. In the room you can see the floor had water damage. In the bathroom the hot water faucet was so loose you had to press down hard on it to turn it on. The next time we are in NY we will probably find somewhere else to stay.
The service here phenomenon! Brian helped me with my check in and he was extremely professional! Give this man a raise! ️
Bryan was very patient, polite and helpful. Sheryl check me in. She was very friendly and helpful. The location is great. The busses and trains are a few feet away. There are many shops in walking distance. Overall I had a great experience.
I tried repeatedly to call to inquire about a room. Out of six attempts, the phone with finally picked up and hung up on -twice. Very frustrating they can't have the decency to pick up a call.
Plush NOT the beds are low and full sized the towels are cheap, the bedding is flimsy. The carpet in the room is gross.
Sheryl made it excellent. She is so wonderful and amazing. She speaks to you like you are a person. Not just any guest. But always THE GUEST! She makes you feel like if you are at hoke. She makes it great.
Sheryl, the lady at the front desk is very hospitable and has provided me and my fiancée excellent customer service. She made our stay a pleasant one! We always come back.
Woww whenever I stay their has been one woman in perticular who stands out for me. Wonderful communication skills, pleasant aura, and damn good customer service skills. Sheryl helped me quite a bit that I felt I was over burdening to her and even so she did not hesitate to help nor give me any bad feeling of being to needy.
Thank you Sheryl.
The Andrew Hotel has provided us with a welcoming stay. The room was comfortable, vintage, and budget-friendly. Each time we called, room service was quick and efficient. The location is in a nice, charming neighborhood with shops, restaurants, and a train station within walking distance. Their staff has been beyond helpful from the moment we arrived. Willie, the parking attendant, offered his recommendations to locations in town and treated us with the highest level of hospitality. Lauren at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area as well. Our family will be coming back to stay at The Andrew Hotel.
Sheryl at the front desk is amazing. She is so cute and funny. Males you feel l I ke a person and not just a guest. She asks if she can assist with anything.to just come to her. Lively service.
This is by far the best most accommodating staff especially sheryl for being totally awesome, very welcomeing and had a solution know matter what it was and threw thick and thin she helped me through it all:) best personality you would want from not only a staff member but people in general thank you SHERYL!
Hotel room was clean but in no way a "Deluxe" room. Beds are very comfortable but furniture is older and shows signs of age. I personally wouldn't consider this a full modern update or renovation but.clean and comfortable. Lauren at the Front Desk was EXTREMELY nice.gave me free parking for the night and a bag of popcorn. She has EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE and as far as I'm concerned takes this place from a 3.5 to a 5 star experience! Thank you Lauren!
