I've worked for The Arc Rockland for 17 years, transitioning from the Residential to the Training Department. I tell all of the staff that come through Orientation that the reason I have worked at Arc for so long is because, at their heart, they have a strong ethical core. Management is always trying to do right by the individuals. The goal has always been to put the individuals first in every decision made. If you are altruistic and want an organization that truly believes in their mission statement, this is the place to be.
I have worked at The Arc Rockland for more than 20 years. Staff are the most dedicated people I know. If you are looking for a career that is meaningful, with opportunities for professional development, consider The Arc Rockland.
If you need a job that flexible go for it. Don’t get to comfortable. It’s draining and the agency does not care about its employees.
