The Barrel Factory, Buffalo NY

Absolutely terrible place. A party of 10, made reservations for 7: 00pm, to celebrate two birthdays. We arrived by 6: 50pm, and were seated before 7: 00pm. Everyone from the party arrived on time and we were brought over water immediately. After 45 minutes of watching waiters, servers, and hostess walking around, on their phones, taking smoke breaks.we finally saw a waiter to ask us for our drink order. 45 minutes. At this point we were just aggravated and ordered our drinks, and appetizers. We got our appetizers around 8: 10pm, after they were ordered at 7: 45pm. We didn't see a single waiter after receiving our appetizers til 8: 30pm, they then took our food order. We received our food around 9: 10-9: 20pm, some plates were brought out, others waited another 10 minutes. In this time, not a single waiter came to our table to refill drinks, ask if we needed anything, apologized for the long wait, etc. Out of the party, maybe 2 people completely ate their entire meal. Our food was cold, undercooked, downright disgusting. None of us were even in the mood to eat after waiting 2 and half hours for food. We expressed our aggravation with our waiter, and he disappeared after, never saw him til the very end. He and other waiters stood in the corner discussing our aggravation, practically gaslighting us for being annoyed with the service we received. Not only were we celebrating two birthdays, but we also had a diabetic at the table with us, god forbid her blood sugar dropped and we couldn't even get a drink. We expressed this to our waiter and the best he could do was 20% off each of our bills. The owner then came over and gaslit our group some more, telling us he's sorry he gave us a terrible birthday gift, he was very passive aggressive. You could easily tell this was not his first time getting complaints like this. He proceeded to tell us that in his 6 years of being in business, he's been losing $3,000.00 a month.well that would be because of management. He took care of our entire bill- so that was nice. But I would not recommend this place for anyone, I usually bring home food from dinner for my dog, but I wouldn't even give her the slop we were served here. This place will be shut down soon, I am shocked it hasn't been already! AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The service was amazing, the food tasted great and had perfect presentation. The location was a little out of the way and some of the pastry was a little undercooked.

Would give NO stars if possible! Waited 45 minutes for our "reserved" table to be ready. Once seated, we waited 40 minutes to order food. Food finally came 30 minutes later. 3 of us ordered a meal that included mashed potato, plates were brought to the table with roasted potato and rice. We were never given an alternative option for mashed potato. The salmon dinner was swimming in butter insead of the glaze that was described on the menu. The meal also included dessert, apple or chocolate. The waiter would not take our dessert order until AFTER we ate. When we were done, we ordered one apple dessert and two chocolate. At that time, all chocolate desserts were gone. The owner was smug, rude and made stupid jokes about our poor service. I DO NOT recommend!

My wife and I have been here a couple of times. This is becoming a regular stop when in Buffalo. Great atmosphere and amazing bar tenders. The food is excellent. There is even a banquet facility inside.

Not a place I would seek out, but it's located in an historic building and no one wants the sun blinding you while you eat. Not cool Mr. Manager.

Very cool bar. We went on St. Patrick's day. Live music on the top floor was great. Bartenders were fast and good. Drinks were good and reasonably priced.

Wanted to stop in after the Shamrock run they were charging $5 just to enter the building. Talk about taking advantage of people. Sorry but shouldn't have to pay just to get into the building. Will never go there again

Very nice atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and spirits. There’s a house dog Luna who roams around upstairs in the events space which is beautiful. Luna was so sweet. The food and drinks were great, only minor issue was the dinner came out a little slow after we had apps and salad but it was a very minor inconvenience as the music selection was great.

Advertised tickets for a post shamrock run party for $10 each. The event was advertised as beginning at noon and ending at 10 pm. Arrived at 4 pm, NOTHING!
Just a scam! Don't ever buy tickets to an event at the Barrel Factory! It's just a money grab!

Met owners Steve and Andy who were very nice an Hage some great stories. Obviously love what they do.

Heather, our server, NAILED it! She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. I asked her to have the bartender make me whatever he wanted. Ted (bartender) delivered it personally, great drink!

The food was impressive. The kitchen definitely knows what they're doing. Burgers and brisket were awesome and complimented by the (shoestring) fries.

I was up visiting my folks and will make every effort to return to The Barrel Factory.

It was SO good. I got the seared salmon with roasted veggies and rice. One of the best meals I’ve had from a restaurant in a very long time. We also had the apple pie barrel roll which came with vanilla bean ice cream; amazing. Will definitely be going back!

Warm personal attention. Fantastic service from Heather (waitress) with perfect smile, humor, and attention to our needs.and Ted (bartender) who brought us his favorite drink and thorough explanation. WONDERFUL burgers cooked to perfection. Great conversation with both owners. The environment is drop-dead gorgeous. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We will return WITH friends.

What. An. Amazing. Night. This was our pick for our weekly date night, and we could not have been more impressed, or had a nicer time out. Both of us expected a rustic themed, enjoyable evening but neither of us expected to have one of the best meals we’ve had in ages. This was our first time here, and it certainly won’t be our last. The atmosphere is inviting and warm, and the charm of the industrial factory mixed with hidden side street gem hit you to your core.

We dined here in February and we’re lucky enough to enjoy their “Valentines” menu which runs all February long. Probably the best deal you’ll see all year we got bread and butter, 2x drinks (cocktails, specialty cocktails, beer or wine), 2x soup or salad, 2x filet (or chicken, salmon, lasagna), and 2x dessert (chocolate cake, creme brûlée, apple egg rolls, or another chocolate dish) all for $75! I couldn’t believe it, and we had to ask the server twice to make sure we were dreaming.

Our food was first class start to finish. The salads were decorative, light and refreshing but still quite filling. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered, and had a great grill char to them which paired perfect with the spice blend- don’t get me started on the demiglaze which I happily would have drown in. Dessert was sweet and tasty, and we ate every last crumb.

Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and we were even lucky enough to dine there on a night the restaurant was filming footage for their website so we got to see the behind the scenes drone flying around the dining room, and got to meet the owner (s) as well.

Run, don’t walk here on your next date night, you won’t regret it.

The drinks are excellent The food is absolutely exceptional, all surrounded by an architectural building that is magnificent!

Banquets, Event Center, 1st floor Restaurant, In house catering for your events, Rustic but Cozy decor. Did I mention the Fireplace area which houses tons of board games at your disposal? And bars all over for your drinking needs! The one unexpected place you'll definitely fall in love with. Don't believe me? See it for yourself! Make sure to say hi to the kitchen staff as you walk in!

When I say run - don’t walk -to try this place out, I’m not kidding. This chef knows his stuff. The best French Onion soup I’ve ever had. Beef on Weck egg rolls, chicken souvlaki egg rolls, vegetable strudel, whiskey glazed pork chop. Every bite top notch. Service great. Atmosphere wonderful. Not loud. Great History.

Very good! Just starting out they're finding their footing / getting their groove service wise but the food was very good, everyone was friendly and it's a lovely place. We will definitely be back!
