This is the second time I’ve been here and the bartender Ethan has been nothing short of stellar. Very attentive and kind. The same goes for John, who is another bartender and who is also awesome. Great place, great atmosphere and I will certainly be coming back in the future.

Belly of the Beast is the ultimate spot for a night out in Long Island City! Not only do they serve the most bomb whiskey sours, but the atmosphere is. The bartenders are super friendly and always know how to make my drink just right. Plus, the music selection is always on point. I mean, what more could you want in a bar? !

But honestly, the best part about Belly of the Beast is the vibes. It's just such a chill place to hang out and have a few drinks with friends. And let's be real, the food is also.

Ethan, the bartender was fantastic. He is super nice and thoughtful. Always engaging, easy to talk to and checking in. Not only does he makes delicious drinks but he has a great smile too.

Cute neighborhood bar. Rustic atmosphere and dimmly lit which made it feel pretty romantic for an easy date night. I cant put my finger on how the place is because it felt like I was in a wooden cabin but at a rich person's log cabin. Food is very lifted classy food such as salad, charcuterie, and few sandwich options. We ordered the roasted duck which iny opinion very very gamey and I did not like. The cheese was very good and standard for what it is. The charcuterie all comes with crostini’s, grapes and olives. Im not an olive fan either but the rest of that is very good. Toasted Daniele was probably the best of what we ordered. It's savory, crispy, and so good I'd get it again. The lobster roll is good but it's small and for $27 it honestly was not ground breaking. The rose cider was so good! It came in a bottle but it was the perfect blend of rose and cider which was really refreshing.

My friend and I were looking for a place to have a drink in the evening, we sat down here, ordered two drinks half a dozen oysters, some shrimp. We quickly finished our food, and when the waiter came to collect our plates he also had a POS machine with him, he pointed it at me and I settled the bill by hand and levae 18% tips. But a minute later, this waiter told me that they had a reservation and gave us three to five minutes to leave. It was ridiculous.
There were two empty tables next to each other and there were people on both sides of our table.you said we paid our bill and sit there for half hour? How dare you, we left in 10 mins after you told us " have 3 to 5 mins to leave".

My roommate hosted her birthday party here as an open bar. The owner said that she had to get at least 30 people for it and gave her a set price. Once at the open bar and two hours passed the owner did not yell out last call or alert the host that the two hours were gone, and instead allowed it to go for an extra hour and charged her for it (extra$1800) without her knowledge. He forced her to sign an incorrect bill against her will despite the fact that we had Numerous emails to prove what the price should have been. The owner will act like your best friend until the bill comes out and then try to screw you over with extra charges. STRONGLY SUGGEST JUST FINDING A DIFFERENT PLACE - its not worth it. I expected so much more professionalism from the owner.

Was a bit unappreciative when I asked for a non-alcoholic beer, the waiter scoffed at me and said "we're not that kind of place, " and I asked him what he recommended. He simply stood staring at me. We left.
