The place was awesome and the staff was amazing. Definitely a place I would stay again very great location. If I had a complaint it is close to police station and will hear sirens.

Excellent location on the East side of NYC. Close to all that is Manhattan!
The service was exceptional from the minute the front door opened. Room was large, clean and very well organized.
I’ve stayed in many hotels in NYC over the years and this is most definitely one I’ll stay in again.
Great Staff ️️️

Very best service. Not one of their staff, but every single one, from the doormen, to the desk, to housekeeping. Great location! Really nice rooms. Mini kitchens. Check it out. We loved our stay!

An absolute horrific scam - they advertise multiple rooms online and every time you try to book one - "that room is not available" - and they try yo upsell you. The sign of a truly deplorable organization with no morals and not character. Avoid at all costs.

Great location and staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Had a little allergy due to the old carpet (dust mites maybe), but the hotel has been renovated, so I think it won’t be a matter shortly.

Our stay was excellent. The one-bedroom suite was perfect and quiet. The location, next to the #6 line, was perfect for getting around. We had an issue with having forgotten something in the room when we checked out but the manager was wonderful in helping getting everything sorted out.

We've already re-booked for our next trip!

There were a lot of things about this place that made me question the hotel’s star rating. Stayed here for six nights at the beginning of May. On day of arrival, the guest services hostess checked me in and took a $300 deposit for “accidentals” that she said would be returned if there was no damage upon checkout. Already sounded fishy from minute one. We had a long trip to get to hotel and only about 1.5hrs to be in Times Square at a show. I asked about the best way to make it to the show on time and the lady checking me in offered some advice on when we should expect to leave but normally a 4-5 star hotel will offer to help arrange a taxi for you, you know provide services that helped them get their rating. Nope. Just advice. We had a corner room with two windows, on the 11th floor, but the views weren’t of anything special. There was 1-ply low quality toilet paper in the bathroom and the tub (one of the main reasons why I picked this hotel) was tiny and old, and kept draining the water so you couldn’t really soak in it. My favorite thing about the room was the king bed. It was super comfortable. Tv is old and outdated. Please replace your tvs to modern day tvs for the people who otherwise would have the capability to stream Netflix, Apple TV, or Disney plus from their devices, to the tv. The wifi did work well in the hotel but it was a disappointment to find out that we couldn’t mirror streaming on our phone to the tv. This hotel is in a “quiet” part of New York if there is such a thing and it was easier to fall asleep at night. I am now unhappy to see a posted charge to my credit card for $268.50 I have no idea what I’m being charged for. At checkout, a guest relations person took my email down on a random sheet of paper and said if my card got charged I would be emailed an invoice but I didn’t feel too confident in that and have not received one. Most likely will be trying another hotel on my return to New York.

Nice place to stay in Manhattan.
The location is really good to all the main attractions.
The room are identical to the pictures, something hard to find when traveling.
Service is normal, but staff is really kind.

Awful experience - having not been in NYC since before COVID I got in shocked as I asked front desk about not having any water in the room. I was told that I would need to pick it up from the front desk, however the hotel had run out of water! Rudely the lady at front desk told me that it wasn’t her problem. To make it worse, that happened the next day as well. This time a more polite front desk employee indicated their delivery hadn’t arrive and that I could go to the pharmacy on the corner to buy one. Let’s do not forget that this is a 4-star hotel charging $400+ per room! Unbelievable!

NOT TRANSPARENT PRICING.
The hotel is decent, even though had to ask to get turnover service because I guess they won't do it if you don't ask. I arrived and they did not have my booking and had to spend over an hour trying to contact a hotel representative on the phone that could help me, because the front desk was not able to help. On top of that, I was charged $40 DAILY over what I already had payed for my stay because they have a so called 'facilities fee'. When you check in they charge $400 as a security deposit and then they simply don't return the full amount because they have to charge the 'facility fee'. Basically a full scam if u ask me. For this $40 you are allowed to get 2 waters at the front desk - basically 2 $20 bottles of water. There's plenty other hotels with more transparent pricing and better services for the same price.

Rooms are nice, a bit dated and not perfectly clean. Toilet seats don't stay up for the guys because of the counter design. However the service and location are great!

A delightfully friendly staff and front door concierge! My brother in law is mobility impacted and the door staff was beyond accommodating!
We had a king suite with loads of space.only weird thing is one bath is via the king bdrm.
Restaurant is still not open. From Covid and not sure either will be.
12 MI. Walk to time Square.
2 min walk to 51 and Lexington subway.
Highly recommend and reasably quiet as well!

The Benjamin is a really nice place and the staff is very friendly. It is extremely convenient to Rockefeller Center and Times Square. I highly recommend staying here.

I came to NY with two teenage boys and they had the time of their life. The Benjamin provided us with a spacious room, great location and excellent service. We did not want for anything at this gem of a place. Would definitely come back here and stay and 100% would recommend to anyone.

Spent the week with my wife in NYC and this hotel had everything we wanted. Within a 5 minute walk of tons of great places to eat, a full sized room which is rare to find in NYC, and a knowledgeable staff that was able to assist in our first vacation to the city.

Taju the doorman was even able to get us a deluxe private SUV to drive my wife and I back to the airport for the cost of what we paid for a Taxi.

Now for the downsides which is why I'm knocking service down to 4 stars.

There is a $10 "resort fee" that is unavoidable and will only allow you to buy drinkssnacks from their minibar. With the bottled water costing something like $4 it seems like an odd cash grab which doesn't make the management look very good.

WiFi isn't free and at $15 a day we didn't purchase it. Cell signal was very strong so just setup a tethering WiFi hotspot and you will be good.

Both of the elevators had something off about them. 1 didn't need a key card to get to any floor and the other that needed the key card would only store 1 floor at a time so if 2 groups were in the elevator the one who pressed the button last would end up going first. My wife and I were going up and down wondering why the lift wouldn't stop at on our floor.

Rooms were definitely not clean. Photos aren’t accurate. Service was not great. Location is good though.
