The Bitter End reviews
12Rude waitress as per many reviews above. Shame because the band was good, but we left after a single drink and a snack, having paid $10 each to get in. Would love to have stayed for the whole set, and was gutted to have left before the Tom Petty tribute act, but I wouldn't stay for that. Waitress complained that the tip wasn't enough, I wonder why people don't want to tip her? Maybe be less rude?
Was here on Monday, brilliant night with brilliant musicians and people. Richie Cannata played Happy Birthday on his Sax for me. Thank you Sir you made my trip
The Bitter End is one of the great nightclubs in the world and one of NYC's most famous. Highly recommended!
I recently had an amazing experience at this venue, revisiting it after almost three decades since my last visit. It was a delightful sight to witness the New York City crowd actively supporting local musicians. Don't miss the impressive list of artists who have graced the stage over the years, displayed outside the venue – it's truly astounding.
The wait staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. Although it can get quite crowded when the first band of the evening is still performing, it adds to the vibrant atmosphere. This place truly brings back fond memories of the good old days, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Overall, my recent visit was a fantastic time, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. It's heartwarming to see the continued support for NYC musicians, and this venue captures the essence of those nostalgic moments.
Unfortunately, I must agree with the numerous reviews about the extremely rude wait staff at this establishment. What a very disappointing experience for international travellers with a passion for music. We loved the band.but not enough to endure the insufferable waitress, who also had a hide to demand a higher tip.
We went for The Evan band show and had a blast. Great musicians, drinks were ok. The vibe was awesome.
Stumbled across this place after looking for somewhere to have a beer at the bar. The doorman understood I wasn't there for the band and was on my own so came to an agreement, but the band were great so I paid full on leaving. Great bands, nice bar people (Anne and two others I didn't catch the names for), I'll drop by again when back in NYC.
Cool piece of old New York City.the bartender was adorable.hard working and patient.cool experience.
I was there to see the band Mean Reversion's performance. Of course the band shared awesome music and stories with the audience, and The Bitter End provided an ideal environment to enjoy that moment. Seats were very close to the band, cocktails were awesome, and I also liked sweet potato fries.
Oh, when I was there, I reserved my seat in advance. I found most tickets were sold at that time, so you might not get a chance to get in.
Pretty chill bar that I visited on Saturday afternoon. They have really tasty ciders, I loved the guava and angry orchard flavors. Played two rounds of pool in the area upstairs, you do have to pay a couple quarters to play but the bartender gave us change. I also heard they have trivia on Tuesday nights which gets pretty packed!
We had a fun night here watching music with our daughters. Nice venue, no bad seats. Staff were very friendly.
This is the second time I have been there and it never disappoints. Had a blast the live music is simply amazing.will definitely be back there again.
