Extremely mediocre with alot of things closed. Boring in my opinion for the asking price.

Good thing is we don't live close so we won't be returning.

An amazing, interesting, and educational experience, the Buffalo zoo is set in a park near picturesque residential areas in the heart of Buffalo.

We spent nearly 4 hours wandering from one enclosure to another, watching content and comfortable animals lounge in their spaces, with plenty of fresh food and even cool misting stations!

Some indoor exhibits are still closed for COVID safety measures and direct animal interaction isn't permitted for obvious reasons, but there is still a LOT to see.

Family friendly, with eye-level animal enclosures that kids find interesting (reptiles, amphibians, little primates) and cool stuff for grownups too (giraffes, gorillas, polar bears).

The Buffalo Zoo is AZA accredited and participates in the species survival plan. They're actively teaching conservation, helping to bolster endangered species populations, and providing lovely and ideal living spaces for numerous animals whose health prohibits their wild release. Doing great work Buffalo Zoo! I will always be a fan!

Although, I think they've lost a bit of the big key animals we would go there to see [Elephants, Crocodiles, etc. ] It was still a great experience with the animals they do have there. The only other issue I had was that there prices for food at their food carts is ridiculous. I wanted a regular sized Frosty [about a small/med anywhere else] and a pretzel with cheese. That altogether would've costed us $17+. We just took the Frosty in the souvenir cup that we had to buy & pay extra for bc they had no other options. I know they may be hurting but, not cool.

This was our first time going to the Buffalo Zoo and it was nice overall. We had a rain shower but we were able to see plenty of animals before the rain came.

Great time with the kids, but do not eat at the place called Slice. Paid 21 bucks for 2 pizzas and dough was not cooked all the way. They were nice enough to give refund but kind of ruined the experience a bit

Ah, the zoo. What's not to love? The indoor rainforest is very fascinating. I enjoyed the fact that there were little lizards all over the place. It was nice to get up close to a lioness and that lazy fat polar bear. I also like at the entrance smells like sweet flowers. Where are the elephants though? There's a picture of him on the zoo logo but yet no elephant. I would suggest seeing the lemurs. If you play there mating call on youtube they will make cute noises back at ya. Its a pretty solid zoo. You do have to pay for parking though but its not expensive.

It's ok as a park for a city. But for traveler, if you have a zoo in your city or nearby, my recommendation is to skip. I think I saw probably 30 animals in the zoo today.

Such an old zoo with modern updates! The old architecture makes you feel like your in a different era. The selection of animals was very large just wish could have seen some elephants or penguins. But otherwise we had an excellent time despite many areas still being closed off from what can only be assumed due to the pandemic.

Some exhibits were not open, some buildings were still closed. They didn't have as many animals to see as I was expecting. The reptile exhibit was pretty big though.

Went at a bad time (around 2pm) as a handful of exhibits didn't seem to be open. Nice small scale zoo but it doesn't compare to the Bronx Zoo or Philadelphia Zoo. I think this Zoo is for the younger crowd. Easy to get to. Make sure to order tickets online before arriving.

Animals are very clearly stressed/unhappy.they were very dirty and pacing, nearly all of them, including mice, looked miserable and scared.don’t support a zoo that’s abusing their animals.

Let's get started. I gave it a 4 rating because of my own excitement from being at the zoo, a zoo periodttt. It was a new experience for me and the different animals was just amazing ii despite the fact that some of the animals we so asleep and viewing them was near impossible. There was still a good crowd of people visiting and the kids were just loving it and so was I. Although restrictions are still in place the visit outdoors to the zoo will be amazing

My family and I drove 4 hours to read a sign that states tickets have been sold out for the day. When have you EVER had to pre-order a ticket to go to a zoo? ! I have 3 upset children. 8 hour round trip for nothing.

I was pretty disappointed in the zoo. It was difficult to navigate and seemed empty.
There were not as many animals as we anticipated. My kids enjoyed what they seen but I think the website should have been more open regarding what to expect when visiting.

The Buffalo Zoo is a very nice place for a family outting. Currently all indoor exhibits are closed. A couple food places are open for putdoor dining

You do not find most animals that they post in Instagram and on their website in the Zoo. Expensive and not worth it at all.

Always a good time. Prices could definitely be a little more decent. No one wants to spend $8 on any drink.esp with a bigger family. But I can understand it's not cheap to home all these beautiful creatures. And you can bring your own drinks if you want.
