Decided to try this place for some vegetarian/vegan breakfast and it did not disappoint! We tried the BLAT sandwich and the egg sandwich. Both were delicious and filling! And reasonably priced we paid 34$ with tax for both.

Nice brunch!
We shared the avocado toast with potatoes on the side and the banana bread. The banana bread came with espresso mascarpone which was really good. Never had something like that before.
Friendly service.

Great place for a quick and simple bite

Servers are friendly but there were too many errors with unfortunate management of the situations—bottom line: wrong orders, charged extra, poor communication, and now I have to check with my bank in 6-7 business days to correct the restaurants error.

In detail:
1) brought us wrong orders twice: first mix up was with customers next to us—no harm no foul; 2) second order mix up—took way too long to finally get our correct order of crab cake Benedict (by this time some tables had cleared and we hoped for better attention to our order) ; 3) charged us extra for the item we did not order and the payment was processed (understandable) ; and 4) instead of refunding the entire payment and recharge a correct transaction, they said the wrong item was voided and i should see refund on my account in few hours, but it has not been refunded yet.

In the entire process the server was friendly but the manager stood next to our server and didnt speak with us once. When i called later in the evening regarding the transaction issue, i was asked “who told you that the transaction would be corrected in few hours. ”

The restaurant was so smoky inside that I now have to get my coat dry cleaned. It made my eyes sting and everything I was wearing stinks which is kind of a day ruiner.

I’ve been to the other locations and the food was great as expected but it arrived cold and still feels too expensive for what you’re getting. It seems like a place that used to be great but is resting on its laurels.

It was also kind of sad to hear how the host spoke to the delivery people, he didn’t really treat them with respect.

Go to egg shop across the street instead for breakfast or Thai Diner half a block up for lunch or dinner. This is just another over hyped pseudo-trendy spot for sorority girls with daddy’s credit card and the bridge and tunnel crowd.

I had an Americano and vegan bowl breakfast - both were disappointing. The coffee was weak and the breakfast was mostly potatoes with not much of anything else. $18 seemed very steep.

The service here is top notch. Worked with Mariel on some special planning and her proactivity, intuition and wherewithal truly shined.

Because of Mariel I chose to spend a special afternoon here. Her prompt response and open-mindedness made the difference.

Highly recommend coming here for the food and the quality service. Would return 10/10

Green juice … on the dark green / brown side! And breakfast bowl really below expectations… pass your way! Totally has been …

Not impressed with the latte, the 20% tip was highlighted so if you’re not on your toes this gets added automate and the ventilation isn’t adequate so smell fried on five minutes.

Cute ambiance, I think they might be understaffed so that made the service really slow and they didn’t put the chickpeas in the harvest bowl. Took a long time to get food and to check out. The açaí bowl is fantastic and the juices are great. Wish I could give a 3.5.

The food options are delicious and reasonably priced. Our only issue is that the entire inside only have bar/counter seating.

Way too expensive. Small portion sizes. Average food. Slow service. I realize restaurant business is a bit tough in New York City but $110 for a family of four for breakfast kind of food is indeed expensive.and we just ordered one order per person. The portion sizes are small and food not that amazing to pay for such an expensive meal. I understand the whole farm to table concept but if this is what it takes to enjoy basic food then I think we should pass. I was happy about a vegetarian restaurant availability but for all the “designer” craze this place is supposed to be about it was not all that. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Service was slow but I can live with that. Hard pass on the brussels sprouts which we were charged $11 although it’s at seven dollars on the menu. Again didn’t care about that but pretty much felt hungry in a couple of hours of eating here which is not what you would expect after having brunch…

Also Reading about an aggressive waiter in other reviews. I suspect we had the same person at the Nolita location. He had a lot of attitude but we just brushed it off as him being overwhelmed. Management should certainly take notice and give some feedback.

Finally I hope this doesn’t discourage others for coming here but vegetarian food shouldn’t really be this expensive. Even if it is, the portion size it should be much much bigger to justify. This place will convert no meat eater nor will it satisfy many vegetarians. Doubt there are repeat customers here

Too expensive for what it is. The sauce they gave me on the pancakes wasn't the one as described, they gave me something with no taste.

Ok I am so upset with my experience at The Butcher’s Daughter. I’ve always wanted to come here because I am a vegan and I came to have breakfast by myself here today. First, they sat me between two couples and we were literally like elbow to elbow - which is quite unpleasant especially in times of covid. I requested to seat outside even though it’s super cold. They took forever to come take my order, and when the pancakes came, they were burned. I mean, it wasn’t the worst thing, it was tasty despite the burned flavor but for a $15 dollar pancake I expected a little more. I am currently waiting in the cold outside for the server to come bring my check. I have finished eating a while ago. Definitely not coming back!

I got the crabs egg benedict, which is really a poached egg on top of quinoa.simple, but reasonably priced and yummy for vegetarian food in SoHo
