Bar The Campbell reviews
14Beautiful room & very friendly staff. The prices seemed high, but everything in nyc seems high to Midwesterners. Make a reservation if you want a table during happy hour.
Quality of the cocktails depends on how busy it is it seems. Had an amazing old fashioned at one point and a terrible the second time (basically bourbon on highly diluted rocks). Hopefully they can maintain the consistency.
Beautiful spot with live music, good drinks and and light bites. I just love hidden bars. Very cold, so be sure to dress comfy! Wait staff is amazing as well!
I went to the Summit One experience next to Grand Central and got engaged! We headed over to The Campbell to celebrate and the gentleman upfront with the glasses asked us how we liked Summit One and we said it was great and I shared we got engaged. He immediately congratulated us and gave us Champagne. That was so thoughtful and kind! We of course celebrate more at the bar! Such a great place and great memory!
A beautiful, warm- feeling space with delicious (& pricey) cocktails, nestled into an outside corner of Grand Central (& up the stairs).
Would also be a nice place to do an event for 50-150 (more? Vaccinated) folks.
Great hidden bar inside grand central terminal.awesome drinks, good service, tasty bar food.the vibe is awesome, so is everything else.
Worst table in the house. Asked to move to this empty table and it was no no no. It is reserved for 6: 45. The conversation was at 7: 10. Still not body there and we are stuck at corner. Rude hostess, and the waitress followed. Shame, used to be fabulous.
Historic spot with an amazing vibe. The atmosphere is dark, lush, cozy, and luxurious. Reservations were scarce and time as a table was limited to 90 minutes. Great cocktails.
It's a really busy bar because of it's name and location. There was a 45 minute to get a table. However, I feel it's worth coming here to enjoy one of their signature cocktails in a timeless setting more than anything else. Overall, it's a New York staple worth going at least once if you're in the area
A lovely historic space but some of the staff was rude, especially the bartender, creating an overall subpar experience unfortunately.
The service was slow. They had only one waiter (might be due to Covid effects). Highlight of the night were the beef sliders! They are a slice of heaven.
It’s delightful to see the Campbell come back in all its glory. This is truly a NY classic tucked upstairs in Grand Central. Stylish and classy without being pretentious and with an impressive cocktail list of the true and tested as well as some house originals. While they do have an outdoors now under the arches (in this Covid world), head to the OG inside for the full experience
Our waitress (Arielle?) was lovely and happy to recommend great suggestions to celebrate. Of course the atmosphere is unique and the adherence to COVID rules very strict. Only peeve that at $20-25 per drink I would’ve appreciated complimentary olives/nuts/something. Acoustics are terrible: needed to speak quite loud to be heard by companions at my table and the music was super modern whereas I would’ve preferred a selection in sync with the furnishings and history of this former office/party pad of yore.
Cozy but bustling high-end place, with some interesting history, next to Grand Central to grab a drink or two, pleasant service and nice atmosphere
