The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel reviews
16Treated like Royalty! Incredible suite… most memorable weekend in NYC. Didn’t want to leave the hotel!
Excellence all around from service to accommodation. The Carlyle exudes Gemütlichkeit! ".
The front desk and whole experience team made my younger daughter's 21st birthday at the Carlyle the best ever! Everyone offered such a warm welcome and took special care of us - it made the whole visit so much more memorable. We were treated to a room upgrade, birthday cake and balloons. We are so grateful for our time together at the Carlyle and are sue to be back.
First and foremost, Mustafa Sukkar was a complete pleasure to work with. He was always professional and warm and was most helpful.
Fantastic service, very well appointed rooms, modern, newly renovated and I particularly love the murals. The crab cake and duck at Dowling's was delish and drinks at Bemelman's was a special treat to end the evening with Earl Rose and the jazz trio.
We just got home from our stay at The Carlyle in NYC. I can’t say enough about how wonderful all of the staff were. We had our 5 year old granddaughter with us & they were so helpful and kind. We loved EVERYTHING! This is as good as it gets!
Cheers, ️
Having spent many years during our many visits to New York over the years at the much lamented Waldorf Towers, my husband and I have been searching for our New York home away from for quite sometime. We decided to give The Carlyle one more try this past December, 2022.
One does not expect one of the grand dame hotels of historic importance to be absolutely perfect in regard to the physical aspects of functionality, but cleanliness and soft furnishings in good repair seem to be fairly basic necessities, not only n public spaces but also in guest rooms. Unfortunately for us, some person of repute seemed to be hosting some sort of event during our visit, and we continually dealt with front desk staff and concierge personnel who were very bothered at having to engage with us at all. Our experience at this hotel, one of several, unfortunately reinforced our impression that The Carlyle is living on it past laurels. They seem very indifferent to restoring or repairing anything much in the building, and if you haven’t been in the press lately, don’t bother visiting. They wont be sorry you didn’t come.
Loved the Carlyle. Service was excellent and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Definitely will be our New York go to hotel.
Had a great staycation for my birthday! Everything was awesome. I was also surprised with a lovely cake from the hotel!
Luxury in Manhattan, from Bemelmans bar to the guest rooms, not to mention the delightful, professional & helpful staff. What a great location to base our family (from Australia) for our eight day stay.
I have just one word “perfection”! A stunning hotel where I felt truly at home for an extended stay in NYC. The staff go above and beyond with service and every little need is not only met but anticipated. I can honestly say that this is the most incredibly run and managed hotel I have stayed in for a very long time. Can’t wait to come back!
From the moment you arrive at the Carlyle you are treated like royalty by the friendly staff. From Naz to David the concierge, everyone is happy to see you again and happy to help you with your needs. I can't wait to come back soon!
My fiancé and I stayed at the Carlyle after our engagement. The entire team and experience was amaaaaazing! The room, service, food, and drinks were top notch. Thank you for making this a memorable experience!
The hotel and staff met all of our expectations. The old world charm and outstanding service make this one of our most desirable hotels in the U. S.
We had a perfect stay and we loved our suite. When a play ended too late to have dinner downstairs room service arrived promptly and was waiting for us by the time we made it back from Brooklyn.
First stay.we were contemplating staying elsewhere to accrue points. I really wanted to stay at the Carlyle and so happy we did! Wish we could've stayed longer. Loved Bemelman's Bar and visited 2x during our stay. Only negative is the fee to sit at a bar or table despite being a guest of the hotel.
