The Channelside, Clayton NY

Waitress was amazing, went here for a date and had ordered food it came out fast, but there was a very large hair in my food. They quickly made me something else.but when we got home, 3 hours later we were both sick. We’ve been here before, this didn’t happen, but tonight’s food wasn’t what we were wanting to experience.

Getting toward the end of the season. Deck was closed, but the food was still good. Veggie burger was good and fresh made. Sausage Sandwich was cooked perfectly. Not too busy on a Sunday night. Server, Lori, was very helpful.

This is a great place to go on a nice day. You can not beat the location right on the water with beautiful views! The service was fine and prices good. I loved my perch (fresh and light) appetizers were ok. Steak and potatoes was solid

Right on the water a bit of a wait for outside but all the tables in the back of the restaurant had river views anyways. Apps were all awesome.

Upscale American Diner food. Very well prepared. Great service (thank you Lori) and a lovely setting overlooking the river. We will be back in Clayton for another concert in a couple of weeks. No need to look for anywhere else to have dinner.

Update: we went again last night and it was just as good. Excellent friendly service from Colleen (thank you)

Only gave two stars for the view. The staff was rude and VERY slow. Didn’t bring straws for our waters. Burgers were made incorrectly. No apologies or care from the waitress. Not worth it.

Food was excellent. We ordered take out but it was not ready on time so they comped one of our meals. Great atmosphere.
