The Chautauqua Center reviews
1825 minute hold time followed but a 40+ minute hold time. Still haven’t spoken to a employee.
They're services, care, protocols, and staff are doing an excellent job, but the Integrated Health Care System is unintentionally profiling low- income patients as having an addiction and doesn't apply to every patient. These people work very hard and have to kiss A*** to the higher- ups, solution: your facility and the entire county is understaffed in every sector, we all need more qualified medical staff in this area to create a healthier and happier community.
The Chautauqua Center recieves a lot of Federal and State funding; but does not utilize the money wisely.
The Dunkirk dental site, staffs a dentist, hygienist and assistant, one day per week.
Patients have to wait several months for basic care, and just as long, if they are experiencing dental issues and pain.
I am sure you receive enough funding to hire more staffing at the Dunkirk facility.
During my last two appointments, I had to suction my own mouth; because there was no assistant there. I should be sending you a bill for the work I did.
Do better!
I was looking for a primary care doctor in this area. I had an abnormal EKG that needed to be sorted out. I obtained an appointment, which was then canceled and moved to a different date. I asked them to simply as the doctor about the EKG. They called back and said, "we can't help you with your MRI. " I repeated that it was an EKG, and the office staff said, "same thing. We don't do those here. We can't help you. " Fortunately, I have managed to get an appointment with a different primary care provider. Unfortunately, I have been on hold for over a half hour with no one at the Chautauqua Center answering the phone. I need to cancel my appointment with them and no one even answers the phone. I feel like I dodged a bullet by getting in with someone else (with no one answering phones and confusing an electrical heart test with an imaging test).
One of the worst place I've been they don't take anything serious and don't listen to u
Pediatrics is amazing here with Dr. Paul Robbins, his PA, nurses and all of the office staff! So gentle, kind, calm, patient and understanding; they actually listen and respond with up to date information. So incredible!
I have been seeing medical doctors and Zach, the chiropractor. Communication in the office among staff is very poor, they have regularly canceled and rescheduled appointments, and communication/follow up with referrals to outside doctors is quite poor.
Chiropractor:
I was seen by Dr Zack for an emergency need a year ago, which he willingly did, but then I tried setting up new patient appointments and all three times these were canceled by him and rescheduled for 2-3 months out. One year later, I am again waiting for him to reschedule a new patient appointment. I cannot recommend a chiropractor who does not keep his word/commitments.
Medical staff:
I was scheduled for one procedure by my doctor at UPMC, Jamestown. The hospital never received my paperwork and was not expecting me. I had been fasting for this procedure and had cleared my schedule.
I have had a hard time scheduling appointments with my doctor. Promised call backs never happened until the 3rd/4th times. Information was not passed along properly in messages. Appointments were canceled by the medical staff (sometimes 2-3 times) and usually several months out. Again, I cannot recommend a medical team who does not keep their word. If we as clients are expected to keep our appointments, the medical teams should also be expected to keep their appointments.
I have gone to Chautauqua center now twice and both times they have lost or mishandled my test results. Recently, the physician I saw said that my results would likely be in Friday so I called that day and they were not in. I called every day after that only for them to tell me I had to come in for another test 7 days later because they were mishandled. The previous encounter I had to come in again and give a sample because someone misplaced it or mishandled it and they overcharged me. By a lot! The staff is respectful and polite but I would not recommend.
I have had a good experience at Chautauqua Center. Everyone has been polite, professional and seems to care about patients. I love Dr. Kidder. I'm 76 years old and she is one of the best doctors I've ever had. The pharmacy is really good too.
I wouldnt have given a star if it didnt make me. This place is a joke. Terrible scheduling and dentists who waste time.
I've had great experiences with the doctors, not so much with the secretary however. Rosemary specifically is very rude. I've also had appointments booked for the wrong services, very Disappointed
Some of the best all encompassing health care I have ever received. The genuine concern for my well-being provided by all employees is obvious-from the intake personnel to all the other professionals involved.
Trash. You call and schedule appointments and they tell you they forgot to put you in the system. Unhelpful in all aspects. Save your time and go somewhere else. Disappointments back to back.
My new Dr is so nice and really cares about my health. I recently changed my review simply because my last Appt on 4/11/22 didn't go very well. When I checked in they never took me straight back into an exam room like the instruction say in the system due to my severe Anxiety, and the protocol that was put in place my my Dr.and Then when they finally called me back the Nurse was snobby and had an attitude! They need to do their job and follow simply instructions.
It's hard to get in touch with anyone and they have been rescheduling the same appt for my husband since beginning of september (it's january) this is now the 6th appt and this one was canceled. I understand there's been A LOT of hurdles and uncontrollable circumstances these last couple of years. But when you have dental work like a broken tooth that's causing pain etc its a bit ridiculous to keep getting rescheduled for 4 months this was supposed to be an urgent situation and it's been frustrating to say the least. I have understanding for a lot of situations but this is just wrong, do better. Please.
Dr. Kidder and her staff are the true defintion of "health care". I was very sick when I want there and she (Dr. Kidder), literally saved my life.
We have sent 3 family members and friends to her- if you are in need of a primary health care Doctor call the Chautauqua Center and request Dr. Kidder.
WOW! If you love being treated like trash.give them a call! After explaining to the receptionist that I had been quite ill for days and was having a hard time breathing she rudely transferred me over to the nurses station. At that point the nurse asked me why I was transferred to her. Then without even an attempt to muffle the phone she began ranting about the receptionist and I as well. Returning to the phone she says "HOLD ON"! And transferred me to a phone line with a busy dial tone. That was only round one!
My husband and myself have tried calling several times to schedule a dentist appointment and the only time I did get someone to answer they phone I was transferred to the dental department. I left a message and no one returned my call.
