The Cottage restaurant bar reviews
15I stopped by for some drinks, didn't try the food but it looked delicious. Nice spot, didn't seem to fit in the area, however there are plenty of people who live in the area who need a place like this if that makes sense! Cozy, and comfortable atmosphere.
The service was really nice and the food was ok. Crab Cakes were really moist and flavorful but the Fish and Chips was pretty bland. I'd go back again but would definitely not get the Fish and Chips.
Everything is was perfect and delicious.
Fish and chips, onion rings and shephard pie.
I moved to Forest Hills recently. I had family visiting for the holidays. We wanted comfort food on a bone-chilling day.
The Cottage Restaurant Bar fit the bill-the pub grub was delicious-and the staff was extremely accommodating.
That sherperds pie sure hit the spot! Yadira was a fantastic server. The place is under new management and, at the time of this post, they don’t have their liquor license. Bit of a shame, but hopefully that all changes. Prices are very good too. The pie was only $16. Definitely adding this place to my go-tos
Wife n I found The Cottage after walking around neighborhood. Food was great and a good portion size. Staff, Mike, was personable and friendly. Will go back when in area again.
Excellent food and service. They taking care of you like you’re at home ️ Loved it! Thank you
My co-teachers and I were in the neighborhood, trying to grab a small bite after our kids’ graduation, & we stumbled across this beauty. I must say the atmosphere from the outside was a start, the inside was the next, the food and the hospitality we received topped it all off! I would be returning soon enough! Their bangers and mash is amazing along with their macaroni. Can’t wait to go back!
Do eat the Irish Soda Bread when you go. Don't forget to try their Corn ed Beef sliders if you don't want the meal. Need some Barry's Irish Tea, order it here and enjoy,
Very pleasant (and FAST!) service and good food at a good price! One of the best Shepherd's Pies I've ever had, as well as fresh hot Soda Bread!
The place was excellent as always, the service was wonderful. The place was empty for a Saturday night and when we walked in we found out why, they had temporarily lost their liquor license and could not serve alcohol. Still enjoyed my dinner as I was celebrating a friend's birthday. We both ate excellent and they threw in my friends dessert for free when they found out it was his birthday. This is always been one of my favorite neighborhood places and I will definitely return again.
This is my favorite pub in all of New York City. All of the bartenders are fantastic! There are a lot of regular guests here and the drinks and food are on point (I especially like the burgers.) I have not been in a couple of months because I decided to cut back on how much alcohol I was drinking but the Cottage is an amazing place that I will have to return to one day.
Good food, desert, prices, portions, and service! Good to order out but GREAT to dine/drink on site for the location and staff.
Had a couple of Guiness and the Shepherds Pie. My wife had the Turkey Club. Food was good and prices were reasonable. Will definitely come back.
A cozy and warm place perfect for winter, the food has a homemade flavor that adds to the ambience, a must go
