Were here in 2018 and weren't disappointed either.
First-class cocktails, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere - highly recommended

This is the best pub in America. It’s actually hard to even call it a “pub”.

At first glance - you see some of the callings of a classic historic local watering hole. Sawdust on the ground. Dollar bills pinned to a the wall. An overall unpretentious and familiar vibe you may find in other old NYC pubs.

But take a closer look and the food is elevated. The drinks are thoughtful and expertly poured and mixed. There is a reason it is the most awarded bar in the most awarded city.

Drop in for a cocktail and a scotch egg. Bring a friend or three. You will not regret coming here.

Came with my girlfriend and her parents whilst on a holiday from England. Food was amazing as was the service downstairs. Best Guinness I've had in NY for sure.

The highlight however came from the upstairs bar. The cocktails were incredible, some of the best I've ever had. I've been a bartender for nearly 10 years so this place has been on my list for a while. Talked shop with the bartender Shane for a little while and then him and the other bartender (I am so terribly sorry if you're reading thus but I cannot remember your name! Your tattoos were amazing though) asked if I wanted to come up and make a daiquiri. Being able to say to all my hospitality friends back home that I made a drink at The Dead Rabbit will be a highlight for the rest of my life. They were easily two of the best people I've met in my short time in NY. I've done a fair few of the touristy things to do around here and that absolutely made my week. This place deserves every award its received and more!

If the two bartenders ever find themselves in Manchester they'll always have a seat at my bar.

Great spot, live music tonight was top notch. Lot of people. Ordered chicken pot pie, delicious. Service could be improved, but overall everyone’s super friendly and I highly recommend this place.

On the day I visited the pub was very busy good for the pub but not for me as the only seats available were high stool after waiting 25 minutes (having a bad back I could not stay long

Cory was beyond fantastic. I had an idea of a cocktail I wanted and he created it in the beat way. He was attentive in general and charming.

Bar with a great atmosphere and a spectacular variety of whiskeys, ideal for an afterwork or a few beers with friends

Just the Irish Coffee itself will make me come back for more 100%. It is the best for a reason.

Their Irish coffee was really good. It did get packed around 5pm on Saturday but getting a bar seat was not a problem.
Though the bathroom was messy.

One of my wife’s favorite bars in NYC. We were the local “tour guides” for our friends visiting from France so, of course, we brought them here. Izzy, a server, and I chatted about Dead Rabbit and she pointed me in the right direction. The bartender, Shane, made us outstanding cocktails. We all enjoyed the unique experience of Dead Rabbit. If you go make sure to try the award winning Irish Coffee - absolutely incredible.
Highly recommended.

I've been coming here since early 2014, whenever I'm in town. Whether alone or with a group of friends, The Dead Rabbit never fails to thoroughly impress myself and everyone with me. Having traveled extensively around the world, I can say that The Dead Rabbit is hands down my favorite bar ("bar" doesn't do this place justice). Be sure to make a reservation well in advance. Even as a walk-in, if there's a wait, it's worth it.

The flavors are amazingly balanced in every drink.and I've had a lot of them. Their ice is perfect (yes this matters). Their glasses are spotless and for the cocktails that require it, the glasses are chilled nicely.

They change their menus regularly which is awesome! On this occasion, I enjoyed their baby lamb chops (delicious!) and their chicken potpie (would make any Irishman proud). For drinks I ran through the Lone Oak, an Irish coffee, the Young Blood, Sticky Toffee Old-Fashioned, Psycho Killer, and Doctor's Orders. One after another I was amazed at the quality and skill put into each drink.

To finish the night out, I grabbed two more of their newer books for my collection and the bar staff was kind enough to sign them for me.

Kace, you're the best! Until next time! Sláinte!

P. S. Make sure you greet Freddy, the doorman, by name. Very nice guy!

Greatest bar I have ever been to. Not only does it have a very cool historic atmosphere, the drinks and service were world class. It's pretty pricey but you're paying for unique, perfected cocktails in a small, popular space so it's worth it every once in a while in my opinion.

I had a wonderful experience here! Everything from the food to the cocktails was delightful. I strongly recommend trying to get a dinner reservation here. Our favourite options were the Elderflower Champagne and the Irish Coffee but you won't go wrong with anything on the menu

Popular tavern in Downton Manhattan on Water street. Was here pre-fire, pre pandemic and now. It still has the same look with two long bars downstairs and a few tables. Nice, friendly servers. They only use on online menu. Good drinks, decent tavern food. There is also an upstairs that I’ve never been to. For lunch, we shared an ample Irish breakfast which hit the spot with American scotch served with one giant ice cube which we appreciated and a hot Irish coffee. Yum.
