The Double Windsor reviews
18What a delightful, inimitable experience. George is the best. Great tunes! Best gin and tonic I’ve ever drank
I love it here. They do an amazing job and I’m thankful to live so close. It’s one of those bars you just can’t replicate.
The food here is great, although it usually takes quite a bit to come out. The catfish sandwich is my favorite. I also love the beer selection. Staff is always very nice.
Good rotating beer selection. Well prepared hearty food. Caring service. Tables indoor and outdoor. Separate outdoor take out window.
Addition: Had not been here for a (Covid-etc) while, but family had happy news to celebrate, so there we were, eating steak and fish with suitable libation. We will be back.
One of the beautiful and cozies spots in Prospect Park. Huge selection of delicious beers and a corner window looking across the park. Cooking staff and bartenders are friendly professionals that give great recommendations. Would definitely bring people here next time
Above average beer selection and a full bar. 12 oz.beers will run you $8-10 dollars. Elevated bar food menu. We ordered their wings which were nothing special.
Don't eat here. They charged me for someone else's bill, in addition to my own bill, claiming they made a mistake and that they cancelled the charge. Weeks went by, and the cancelled charge never appeared on my credit card statement, so I had to dispute it with my bank. The Double Windsor informed my bank that I had authorized both charges and that I had no grounds to dispute the charge. These people are crooks, straight up. They lied when they told me they cancelled the bogus charge and then lied to the bank when they said I authorized the bogus charge. Again, don't eat here.
It was amazing, such a fun time. The drinks were on point and the vibes were there. Shoutout to George the bartender, he is a miracle worker.
The Double Windsor had a pretty good selection of canned and draft beers (I didn't get to try their draft beers, as there was some kind of problem they apologized profusely for). With the date I was on, we shared a burger, and got a number of drinks. The service was quick and good, the food tasty, and they had a pretty eclectic if small menu that felt diverse for a small bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations that had a comfortable and friendly vibe. I'd definitely go again.
Their stout is not as good as Guinness but other than that it is a nice joint. Good burger. Good service.
Great draft beer. REALLY good bar food. Like I almost feel guilty calling it bar food because they do really special dishes mixed in with your bar favs like wings. Staff was awesome. Had a really nice time here.
Good selection of beers and other drinks, the food is great. They have nice simple things as burgers but also some vegetarian options which is awesome. The bread pudding was delicious, too!
Great food and beer. Be prepared to sit next to other humans *gasp*
Chat with strangers - you'll love it!
(it's what humans were built for ;)
Cozy place with an opening seating arrangement and great beer selection. Fries were good. Brussels sprouts were too charred/burnt to eat.
With my daughter, a fun happening. Staff was friendly, food was good and the beer.what can I say.
Stopped by on the Thanksgiving night! One of the best late night bars we’ve been to in park slope!
Ask for a Hot Toddy (seasonal special), most bars don’t have it - so enjoy while you can!
Great drinks, very comfy and cozy vibe. Make sure you stop by!
This place was a cozy bar with a great atmosphere. Most of the service was self service when ordering your drinks and when getting water. Drinks were unique and good too. Menu had a good selection and was good too. I would recommend this place after coming from the Nighthawk theatre, which is walking distance. This place is a great find because it has a good balance with a diverse crowd in the area.
