The Dutch reviews
14Great Go-to farm to table. Rich fine comfort food. Have the schnitzel. You're welcome. Pairings of wines and cocktails with the food. Let yourself be surprised every time. Recommended
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is great- lively, but not too loud. It’s really beautiful but decidedly casual and welcoming. The service was great- very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful (everyone from the hosts, servers, runners and bussers). The food was really exceptional. The fried chicken and biscuits were spectacular, striploin was also great. Can’t wait to come back!
We didn't book a restaurant for New Year, and we saw this beautiful place. The host lady was super nice, professional, and beautiful. She helped to find available spots, so we were on the bar. The atmosphere is really amazing. The serving guy was very nice to us, explained everything. We celebrated New Year with the whole restaurant and were very happy! For sure, we'll come back very soon!
It may happen that you meet famous people.but don't tell them because otherwise they won't come back!
The Dutch is serving up good meals and drinks! The price point was high for what it is, but all well prepared and filling.
We have been coming to this place for years. We went today for brunch with friends visiting New York. The food was not as good as before while the prices were higher quality and portion size was smaller. Can’t believe such a drop in quality. Service was slow and took time to bring few stuff we asked for. Not planning to go there anymore. "
The atmosphere and food were fantastic but the service was a bit shaky. It was busy, but not busy enough to warrant our water forgetting about us.then changing to a new waiter without telling us.all the while our simple black coffees took 20 minutes to come out. Too expensive a menu for that type of service, guys.
Good American classics without feeling heavy. Came for a holiday party and the restaurant itself is pretty iconic.
Wonderful and cozy dinner!
The pumpkin soup and their famous fried chicken was amazing!
We recently celebrated our post-elopement lunch at The Dutch - it was a phenomenal experience! After dining here a few times, we knew we wanted to incorporate the Dutch's amazing food and atmosphere as a part of our big day. Carla and the entire team went above and beyond to make our day feel special, including personalized printed menus, dedicated staff to serve our 12+ guests, custom cake, and a polaroid photo to capture the moment. I cannot recommend The Dutch enough. Thank you to all! We can't wait to be back.:)
Ate at The Dutch largely based on a great looking menu and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact I’m already looking forward to another visit. We had the chipotle cornbread, kale salad w/aged cheddar, burger, and mushroom risotto. All were amazing but I could have immediately ordered the burger again…simply outstanding. The wait staff were super attentive and the atmosphere was warm. I think this will go on my list of return visits soon!
Food was awesome! Great atmosphere! Really good service! Muat go too when in Manhattan! While inhad the steak which was greatbthe fried chicken was even better!
A very nice address in the SOHO district, the restaurant is magnificent with a very nice, super cozy atmosphere. You will also find some pretty good and plentiful dishes there. Be careful, it's still a little expensive but it's the neighborhood.
We had the earliest dinner reservation possible. The very friendly host staff suggested we go have a drink at the bar since we were 15 mins early and I'm assuming no server available. We did, drink was great, we went back to the host stand and they checked our coats for us and sat us. A manager quickly introduced himself and offered us water since we already had bar drinks. Our server came shortly after and we already decided what we wanted. Duck buns and tuna. Both were delicious but I especially liked the tuna.
I got the fried chicken and my wife got the mezze plate. We also ordered a side of fries. That chicken was perfect! Crispy/spicy but also juicy. It comes with two honey biscuits which were also good. We had a great experience overall. We didn't do desert. I forgot to take entree photos.
