The Egg reviews
11Very nice theater, comfy seats, but restrooms are tiny places and not appropriate for large crowds.
Of variety of theaters in here in different sizes that have a wide variety of entertainment from classical jazz children shows and contemporary artists, you can now bring your over priced drinks right to theater
The Egg in Albany, also known as the Empire State Plaza Performing Arts Center, is an iconic and unique architectural gem. Shaped like, well, an egg, this distinctive venue offers a variety of cultural performances and events.
The exterior design is intriguing, resembling a spaceship, and it stands out amid the government buildings that surround it. Inside, the performance spaces are well-maintained and acoustically impressive. The intimate atmosphere provides an up-close experience with artists and performers.
It's a great place to catch concerts, dance performances, and other artistic events. The location in the heart of Albany makes it easily accessible. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, The Egg is worth a visit for its architectural quirk and the diverse array of shows it hosts.
Very large event space with well maintained auditoriums and clean bathrooms. However, not all the sinks were working in the bathroom. Parking was easy to find and affordable!
Saw The Fab Four.really good.
Same thing.with all theatres.line for the ladies.lack of.
This show was a lot of fun. The actors were really good and funny. We had such a good time. Also the drinks were amazing
The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy was amazing! Stellar performances, delicious cocktails and everything was perfectly orchestrated.
We attended the Edgar Allan Poe speakeasy event and loved the whole venue. We arrived an hour early, not knowing what we’d do to kill time, and the Egg did not disappoint! The art was fascinating and we’d love to go again on a weekday when everything is open!
Was a great event to go see and hear.
The stories they POEfromed were
Tell Tale Heart
The Black Cat
The Raven
The Red Death Mask.
This is a must to go see!
We have been in the area for some time so we have been to several events on the outside. Recently we attended a concert in the egg. It is cute and old fashion. The elevator is a huge inconvenience as only a small number can get on and you need an attendant. During the event I attended the refreshments for purchase was closed with one hour to the concert start time during the concert we were very thirsty.
