Went there this morning with my good friend. Brought in a brand new rifle that I’ve never shot before. As a matter of fact, I hadn’t fired a rifle in many years. Right off the bat there were issues with my gun not being NYS compliant. Brian quickly pointed them out and fixed what needed to be fixed to meet the compliance requirements. Once in the range, I continued to have issues (all my own fault) and Brian again was quick to assist me and walk me through some things. I decided afterward that I needed to sign up for a refresher course in order to feel confident, comfortable and safe with my rifle. The crew was excellent, graceful and very knowledgeable. Despite some of my missteps, Brian and the crew made me feel welcomed and dignified. Will definitely be back again, first for some more training. The other crew members (don’t remember their names) were very cool as well. Also, the store has a great selection of firearms, along with anything else you need.

Nice guys. All of the staffs there are kind! The instructor is patient and witty. And his whole outfit is gorgeous! Forgot to said so to him before leaving. For every first-timer, please just go and enjoy! Will not disappoint you.
Also, the bathrooms are clean and you can see some interesting notes on the wall. I believe these guys treat these place careful and serious. All in all it’s a good place to go.

Seems like people cant multitask here. Range is ok. Can get a little crowded.
I will speak to you if i come back in. NO it wasn't just this visit. I have been in twice and have been underwhelmed on both occasions.
Upon further reflection, I will upgrade to three stars and make it a point to try this place again.

Had an AWESOME experience at the Firing Pin! First time shooter and went there with my friend. Rent some guns and had a great time at the range. Staff's super nice and friendly. Would definitly recommend.

Just left this place. Was looking to purchase and possibly rent and shoot with me and my two brothers in the first 10 seconds I could tell we weren’t welcome because of our skin color the guy was acting like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t want us there either.had an attitude and was very impatient whenever we’d ask a question he would say how everything’s on the tags when it’s small writting and a bit far away and he even made a remark saying we were making him feel uncomfortable and had poor handling of the firearms when we did not miss handle at all. It was clearly something else that was bothering him. I’m not sure what his name was but he was a white male with red hair and small beard. Funny was He was actually making us uncomfortable gives heavy school shooter vibes you just had to be there if your black I don’t recommend you go here you won’t be welcome.

I get it your probably gonna say some type of response saying the opposite of what I said making up false allegations to make yourself and company look better. Just as you did on other bad reviews only way to improve is to accept.

Walked in to browse and talked to Brian he was knowledgeable and ended up making a purchase. One of many more to come good group of guys here!

When you hire someone make sure you hire someone who respects all kinds of people no matter the gun experience or skin color I don’t recommend this place for anyone.

Hi, I've been here a few times. Today I took my Wife too and she loved it. Brian is so nice! If it's your first time, then (for insurance reasons and your safe) fill out a easy and fast form. This is done electronicly, The Firing Pin, LLC provides a computer for their customers. Lastly, bring your own goggles and earmuffs. After Corona virus took the world by grip they stopped supplying the free tools to detercontact tracing. However, no worries. If you couldn't find your earmuffs and goggles they resourcefully are available for purchase.

Selection was plentiful and the knowledge is widespread. Worked with John and he was extremely helpful in all areas. Would highly recommend The Firing Pin over any store in the Rochester area

Wide selection of ammo and guns. Went to 8 other stores in the area and this had the most and a different variety. Definitely will be back.

This is a great public range. Friendly, supportive and knowledgeable staff. This is a great place for someone that is "intimidated" by gun stores and gun ranges. Great store, besides the range. I'll probably forget some names, but Brian, Joe, Josh and Pat were all very friendly and helpful in every aspect of firearms;

Per your response. I was in your shop. It may have been you who was rude and nasty. As far as these reviews being all the same day this is true. I had a day off from training and decided to post from past experiences in different facilities. Truth hurt?

Have been going to these guys for years. You might pay a little more, but the personal attention to detail cannot be matched.
