The Fox Hollow reviews
20Wow! My friends wedding was here and everything was AMAZING! All the staff, all the food, all the events! Amazing! Loved it. 20/10! S/o to Josh and Sofia for making such a special day for the bride and groom. Also all the people @ the dinner and everyone at the hotel! Loved it!
Party venue (wedding, bar/bat mitzvah etc). Good and generous food. Can't speak to the regular hotel although was told that the regular restaurant is quite good.
My son"s was in April was a beautiful day from beginning to end. Maitre d Samir and bridal attendant Noelia were awesome made there day very special. Guest are still talking about it. Food was delicious. Service amazing. There pictures were beautiful do to flowers around building. Hotel was the greatest thing super clean breakfast following morning was great. A million thanks to all at Fox Hollow and Inn
Our son & daughter-in-law were married at the Fox Hollow on 10/23/22. Everything.was spectacular! The staff was professional, friendly & accommodating. They even made sure to bring us food trays & drinks while we were all taking pictures. Josh the maitre’d is a Rock Star! He was calm, pleasant & a joy to interact with all day. Anything we asked for or needed was done in what seemed like the blink of a eye. He seemed to always be there when we needed him, but never in the way so to speak. The food & the service were amazing & we have received many compliments on what a great wedding it was. To Josh & the rest of the amazing staff of the Fox Hollow thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving our son & his sweet bride the wedding of their dreams!
The Fox Hollow is surely one of the best venues I’ve ever attended to a wedding. The staff are very attentive, willing to help in anything from beginning to the end of the event. A relative of mine had their outdoor ceremony and indoor wedding reception here & it was stunning. The food was delicious! Thank you The Fox Hollow for making my relative special day extra day special.
I was there for a wedding reception.not a stay at hotel.excellent.beautiful place.friendly service.good food.beautiful inside n dining rooms.property
Room was quite nice. Beds were comfortable, nice TV setup, decent kitchen, shower had good pressure and excellent hot water. Breakfast service was great, overall service was very courteous and nice. Traffic is going to be hot or miss, typical LI traffic.
If your into the ol’ bait and switch plan your events with any of the five “Scotto Brothers” owned venues. Weddings are stressful enough, no need to add more to your plate.
I booked a wedding at chateau briand in 2020. The same people own this venue as well. In a show of good faith I paid half the wedding upfront 10k. The deposit was only 1k. COVID hit and I decided to cancel the wedding. I figured it would be a battle to get the thousand dollar deposit back but it turns out they want to keep the entire 10k! Now they don’t even answer the phone. I called every number posted online and the furthest I get is a secretary asking if I would like to leave a message. Unless you have time to find a lawyer and hope a judge obligates them to do the right thing keep searching for a different venue.
Let this serve as a warning to any future patrons. Do NOT use these people. Spend your money with a venue that respects and appreciates your business.
This place is lovely. I do believe they are still having a staff shortage because service was a bit slow for a wedding venue. We did not stay at the location so I cannot comment about the rooms.
What a beautiful venue for company parties and for special occasions! Everyone was beyond nice! Decor was elegant and the food was awesome! The outdoor area feels like you are away for the day!
The grounds are well kept and the different outdoor areas were perfect for couples.l was there for a wedding and the use of the space was amazing as well as the food and the service levels. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is because of the age of the property and room maintenance.
My husband and I needed to plan our wedding in three months before moving out of state. We struggled to find a venue that would host our 30 person wedding especially on such short notice. When we called, we were told that the wedding could be hosted through their restaurant, The Volpe. After meeting with the restaurant manager Nicole, we were able tour the possible event rooms, choose a date, and get a price estimate. She was constantly working with us, trying to get us to have the best wedding we could, regardless of circumstance. Nicole went above and beyond for us, coordinating our entire wedding start to finish while managing The Volpe. She had helped us pick out all of our vendors, including our DJ, officiant, photographer, and florist-the latter was set up just over a week before the wedding. The event itself was flawless, and special accommodations were instantly made when necessary or asked. Nicole was always professional, charismatic, quick on her feet, and extremely kind. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without stress thanks to the wonderful staff at the Fox Hollow.
It was very easy to book a room at a competitive price. The hotel's landscaping is beautiful and it was effortless to check in. The room was very clean and the buffet had many palatable options that were refilled often. Room service was a bit slow but the food was very tasty.
I would book again!
Beautiful place for a wedding. Staff was very pleasant and attentive! Food was average but cocktail hour is always better with a lot of variety!
Just went to a wedding at Fox Hollow and it was a bad experience. When we first arrived for the hospitality hour there were no seats present for older guests or people with disabilities. One of the bartenders did not want to serve alcohol to guests and only the bridal party. Fox Hollow ran out of food during the cocktail hour and staff serving the food must have been playing in the MLB by the way they were throwing the food on guests plates. For the wedding reception they only had about 100 chairs so about 30 people had to stand and/or seat on edges of brick. The food during the reception was tasteless and mediocre. For the bride and groom spending about 20k it definitely was not worth it. Staff outside of the Maitre D were very inexperienced and I would not recommend this business. This is my 3rd wedding at this venue and it has gotten significantly worse over the past 6 years. Crest Hollow is soooo much better.
I recently hosted a surprise party at The Fox Hollow. When I began my party planning, I reached out to 4 vendors and immediately knew I wanted to work with TFH. Their sales department, operations department, and all other staff were so incredibly helpful, easy to work with, and made the experience seamless. Matt was my Maître d' and I can't say enough positive things about him! Can't wait to have another event here.
Was there for a wedding reception. All the food was outstanding. The staff was awesome, front the valet staff to all the servers we had. Great experience.
We recently attended a wedding reception at the Fox Hollows. To our surprise this reception was nothing like the one we attended prior to Covid.
The staff was inexperienced and service was poor. The cocktail hour room was so hot the ice cubes were melting as much as we were. Long lines to get a drink or food from the stations due to the inexperienced servers. The ladies room was a disaster, despite the attendant to seems to enjoy talking to another staff person outside of the bathroom instead of being inside and ensuring the guests weren’t the ones cleaning the stalls.
The food quality has drastically changed.
Once upon a time this was the reception hall for your dream wedding or event. I know many families who held numerous events throughout their lifetimes there - a tradition of quality which now ceases to exist.
The wedding was lovely solely due to the abundance of love and joy for the couple. The brides impeccable taste in flowers and special touches were magnificent, the music was wonderful and everyone danced the night away - while at the same time dodges the waiters who cut through the center do the dance floor, dropping a trail of dishes and glasses. Simply unacceptable.
There are many facilities of superior quality now consider for upcoming events. The Fox Hollow will certainly not gain any business from the guests attending this wedding.
Words of wisdom- ask questions and get everything in writing and have someone checking that evening if all is as promised. Otherwise, you will be greatly disappointed.
It's a sight to behold. Could be a wonderful getaway especially for couples. Wedding settings could be perfect for you and your intimate crowd. Definitely check it out.
Attended a friend's wedding here and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and serve. Very nice venue, beautiful landscaping for pictures, and a very well stocked bar
