The Fulton by Jean-Georges reviews
17This is perhaps one of the best burgers I have ever had. The french onion dipping sauce is incredible. The views wonderful and the staff is top notch. Really recommend this place.
Food is not bad but very overpriced, Very limited menu, mostly fish. I didn’t like their cheeseburger, too greasy. Wud it kill them to add a roasted chicken to the menu? That shud be a staple at all restaurants. I think you really paying for the view because they got best view at the seaport since they are right in front of the bridges and Brooklyn skyline. Some restaurants here don’t give you any view but unfortunately their bar is so tiny and offers zero views since it’s tucked in front of kitchen, just awful interior design but the booth seats here are so comfy so I wud opt for those tables,
I would say it’s a very disappointing experience tonight at the Fulton. Firstly, the waitress was not warm at all (almost rude), didn’t take time to explain the menu to us and didn’t even change plates. The dishes were just mediocre. I would expect a lot more from a high-end restaurant like the Fulton where one spends over $300 a meal (without alcohol). I would not recommend anyone to come.
Did the NY Sunday brunch. The food was excellent. Our server was very pleasant and made drinks suggestions. All the staff, although it was not their table they gave you their attention.
We chose this restaurant as our only NYC dinner as it was on so many lists for its great views and good food. While the view was really lovely and the front staff were very kind and accommodating for our reservation as we were late, the food was just awful. We ordered sashimi, lightly fried shrimp, and the brussels salad to start. The shrimp was literally $6 a shrimp and so, so mediocre/ tasted worse than freezer shrimp i’ve had which was very unexpected for a place that claims to be a seafood place. The brussels sprouts salad was also just extremely mid, you’d find better at a potluck. Ate a few bites and left. $200 in with tip and left incredibly hungry and disappointed, did not stay for entree or dessert. Cannot recommend! Go somewhere you can get truly good food for such high price points!
Visited three times and consistently high quality and delicious food.
Food is a 10
Cost is $$$$, the food correlates
Service is a 10
The restaurant is stunning with an amazing view. Food and service was great and overall we had an excellent time.
A-mazing. Wonderful service, thank you
Steven. Octopus mozzarella, seafood tower, chicken, burger, all of it, omg. Cookie for dessert was delicious. Coconut dessert was light and wonderful. Such a fantastic meal.
Three of the plates arrived on time (out of 5). We finished our dishes and the other two where not even on the table.disappointing. They offered us free cocktail so 3 of the five wanted another one, they brought us 1 for 3. Deserts took 40min to come. Food was good, too bad. By the way the manager came to us and did nothing, useless.
Ordered the strawberries & cream Mille-feuille, peach vacherin & was given the Fulton cookie on the house! Would come back any day just for the dessert thanks Luke:)
Seriously this whole place is a VIBE!
Not sure about why others are complaining about the prices, but this is a trendy upscale restaurant. The ambiance, location are all apart of the package here. Along with the food, drink, etc.
We were visiting from out of town on a special get away trip, so I didn’t mind the indulgence. I wanted spectacular views and impressive seafood and that’s precisely what we received. I wish I remembered our servers name. He was friendly attentive and elevated the experience quite nicely.
The lobster dish with the noodles were reminiscent of a super upscale, elevated lobster ramen dish. I enjoyed it immensely! Very filling as well. Literally, I need more! It completely hit the spot and worth every penny. It’s obvious you can taste the fine intricacies in these elegant dishes.
Make the visit. It’s worth it. That view of the bridge is downright dreamy.
If anyone can track down the server who had us on Wednesday night please tell him thank you again. He made us feel welcomed, valued and special!
What a surprising disappointment. The food was mediocre - example the "lightly fried" calamari was no better than any chain restaurant. Our service started out excellently but when our original server had to leave we became invisible to his replacement. I would have never expected to have to leave the table TWICE to find him.
For a meal that crossed the $1k mark (6 of us) there are MANY better choices NYC. I think Jean-Georges has lost his way.
BY FAR THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. If i could, i would give this place NEGATIVE 5 STARS. I went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday and i had a reservation. As soon as i got there, i informed the hostess and i was told to wait aside. 15 minutes later, same hostess asked me what was I waiting for. They made me wait 30 minutes for my 7: 30pm dinner. I asked 3 different people if they can bring out a desert with candle or something to celebrate. All three of them completely ignored me and looked down upon me. They all made me feel that i don’t belong there. TOTAL DISRESPECT and SUCH A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE RESTAURANT.
Spectacular views, but very high prices for what is served. They do have gluten-free bread, and they try to adapt the dish but there are not many options.
The view from the outdoor dining is wonderful. Excellent backdrop for sure. The service was great. The food was not bad but not great as I see from the other reviews. I think it could have been more fresh and better. I think it might have catered to a more tourist location. I’m on the fence whether this place is worth it or not! I guess you will have to figure out for yourself
The food is lousy, what is worth it is the view, very expensive for the quality they offer. The quality does not match the price.
If not the, one of the best dining experiences I’ve had.
It was our first time dining at one of Jean-Georges restaurants so we decided to do the Friends and Family Feast which I would recommend; it allows you to try a little bit of everything.
For starters we had the Florida Red Snapper and the Sashimi Royale which were extremely fresh; the scallop was my favorite. Our second course consisted of the Arugula Kale salad and warm octopus and fresh mozzarella; the pine nuts were roasted nicely which gave the salad a unique flavor and the octopus was extremely tender. For dinner, we had the longevity noodles and carrots; the portion of lobster was generous. Lastly for dessert, we had the Fulton cookie and ice cream. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Service was outstanding from beginning to end which made the experience that more memorable. We were fortunate to have a beautiful summer evening and had the opportunity to sit outside which allowed us to enjoy our dinner looking at the water and the Brooklyn Bridge.
