The Gables of Brighton, Rochester NY

My Mother has recently moved into The Gables and I am so impressed with the caring and engaged staff. The rooms are really lovely clean and fresh. There is usually entertainment going on in the Living Room ie music which is really great. I really enjoy the Family night in the dining room it's so fun and the chef goes out of his way to make something really delightful.

I have looked into the gable as a place for my dad. When I toured I love the building so much and the staff that I joined the team! My dad won’t leave South Florida until the summer and that time he would come stay at the Gables

Fantastic community and beautiful grounds! My mom loves it here and the staff are great with the residents!

Great place! I put my parents here and they love it. The food is terrific, and they especially love the pond in the backyard.

It is so sad to see the current condition of this property. The Gables is not what it used to be. All the residents that I've spoke with feel that managment does not care about them.

The Gables at Brighton, near Rochester, New York, is where our Mom spent her final months. With my sister living in Virginia, my brother living in Australia and I myself living in France, it was a strained juggle from the beginning to secure solid and safe oversight and companionship for my Mother. The Gables at Brighton proved to be not just that "proverbial" extra set of hands, but a total team of caring professionals. Was her short stay here perfect? No. There were highs and lows, as with any life endeavor. Would I have rather Mom spend her final months at The Gables at Brighton? Yes. The setting, the calm, the view from Mom's window, was priceless. She awoke each day with the leaves of fall. And watched the sun set from her large light-filled bedroom window. We could not have asked for more. A heartfelt thank you to the team at The Gables of Brighton. If we had to do it all over again; you remain, our first and only choice. Sincerely, The Shealey Family

What a lovely building, with attentive staff and many fun activities! A group of us attended Mega Bingo a couple weeks ago. We had a blast! We enjoyed the residents, met the staff, enjoyed yummy snacks and played Bingo. Looking forward to more community activities at the beautiful Gables of Brighton!

Marketing Director James McLellan and Executive Director Caitlyn Stoffle. James gave a great tour of the Gables, and Caitlyn went out of her way to ensure my Dad was fine on his first day.

It's a great environment for my Father. He has been living alone with very little contact with others, I am looking forward to him having social interactions, participating in activities, dining with others, and thriving.

He is also given his medications daily and has his room cleaned, bed made and laundry is done. What more could a family ask for? Thank you to The Gables of Brighton for keeping my Father safe and happy.

With any retirement community it's the staff that makes the biggest difference for the residents. The Gables of Brighton not only has wonderful apartments but the caring staff that makes everyday an awesome day for the people that reside here! Stop in an visit with us!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience during our respite stay at The Gables of Brighton. The apartment was recently updated and very clean. The staff was cheerful, competent, and accommodating; the residents were friendly and welcoming; and the grounds were pretty with lots of tall trees and a flower garden near the front entrance. Special shout out to Marketing Director James McLellan, who went out of his way to make our transition to The Gables as smooth and easy as possible. And also to Kerry Jarvis, lead concierge, whose bright personality lifts up everyone she encounters.

When looking for Independent Living options, I would look no further than The Gables of Brighton. The Gables provides you with all the perks of being at an Independent Living community, which are wonderful dining options, beautiful scenery, and fun filled programming with the other residents who live there! At the end of the day though, it's the home like feel that The Gables provides that really puts it at a step above the rest. I would highly recommend The Gables to anyone looking for Independent Living!

My interaction with James has been just wonderful. He has a real grasp on the life changes of our parents and the effects it has on the entire family. Not only was he knowledgeable and professional, but also very thorough in his follow-up. A true pleasure to deal with during such a challenging time.

I took my mom there for a respite stay for 3 weeks. I was pleased of how well they took care of her. The staff is amazing, nice and kind. My mom is blind and has dementia, they knew how to care for her. I will be using their services again.

I’m so pleased with the supportive and inclusive environment they provide. Specifically I’m impressed with the facility amenities, “in-house” activities, and the variety of community outings. I have had the pleasure of meeting with James McLellan, Director of Sales and Marketing. He made our decision to make the Gables of Brighton my Mom's new "home" an easy one. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The community is bright, cheery and clean. We look forward to moving Mom into her newly remodeled 1 bedroom apartment.
