The Gem Saloon reviews
12Had an open bar at Gem for NYC marathon…great service, solid beverages, very accommodating staff. 10/10. Thank you so much especially to manager Jo who helped us organize the event. Would highly recommend.
Great lunch deals, super tasty, friendly staff! The steak salad is excellent. Sitting outside in the summer is wonderful too.
I'm always here. I'm a picky eater and the food Never Misses! The chef is great no matter what you order there seems to be nothing on the menu that doesn't taste good. The new menu is great. The Soy Ginger Beef Skewers are fantastic. The nachos the prosciutto chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables are my definite go to. This restaurant had me eating veggies but even my parents could get me to eat as a child as they switch it up with the vegetable of the day each day. The blackened chicken tacos are also great. The have great drinks in a can or draft or mixed so this place is great to go at any time if the day for food or at night for drinks. I'm so glad they survived covid as I have been going there for years now and it's still the top of my list of places to eat in city.
I have come here three times and every time the food is good.
Something that you should definitely order here for appetizers: the chicken wings and the cauliflower bites that tastes literally like BBQ chicken wings.
To eat: birria tacos.
Today we had: wings, cauliflower bites, quesadillas, cheeseburger and birria tacos.
• The wings and cauliflower were so delicious as always.
• The quesadillas and cheeseburger were good, the fries are always tasty.
• The birria tacos were AMAZING, I’m Mexican and these tacos do taste like the original ones, a MUST TRY here.
The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars is that if you come when they aren’t busy the food and service is 10/10 but if you come when it’s busy the service is not good and the food is not that amazing, is good but not as good as when there’s fee people.
Feedback for restaurant: you should keep the quality top ALWAYS because your restaurant is good so it’s worthy to invest in this.
First time we tried this place. Date night, no kids! Lol it was DELICIOUS! We will be visiting again!
The atmosphere was very good, the service was excellent and above all the food was very tasty, especially the hamburger was delicious and the crispy fries recommended 100 %
Had Sunday brunch (Eggs Benedict substituted w processed ham vs Canadian bacon). Kinda weird. However, service and friendly vibe was good and indoor/outdoor decor rustic, Western vibe was cool; esp from previous (Rodeo Bar days which actually was a fun bar w live music). Will try again to test consistently, food and service.
Pretty good Sunday dinner for us. We stopped in and each had a beer ($11 each), chicken tenders app (no fries, $14) and caeser salad add salmon ($22). Service was young and friendly!
Came in at lunch as a party of 12. It was basically empty except for us, but it still took over an hour to get any food. Then 30 mins for the receipt and about another 30 to split the bill over 5 cards. It’s lunchtime, how can you justify it taking 2 hours for sandwiches and burgers?
One of the restaurants I always have to visit when I’m in New York. The food is gorgeous and very well priced, and the staff are so friendly and can never do enough for us every time we go. If you’re in New York I would highly recommend The Gem!
Excellent service. Staff were amazing and really looked after 10+ of us for my husband Seans 30th birthday party. They went above and beyond and a great night was had by all involved. Thanks again
Always consistently friendly service, delicious cocktails and tasty food. I particularly enjoy the NY Strip. Great spot on the Eastside!
