A bustling venue with attentive service and great food, wine, and atmosphere. Worth multiple visits.

I have been to this restaurant twice. When I brought two friends once, a new lady staff added a 20% service charge directly to my bill. I expressed confusion and asked if you had changed the policy? She removed it immediately. At the same time, only our table encountered this situation. I wonder if this is because of the background we look at? Very disappointed.

Nice gyro. We had good size baklava for dessert, enough to share.

Good communal service. Friendly staff.

Feel good restaurant

Arrived right before the kitchen closed. Our server was really kind. Double-checked to make sure we didn't need anything else. No one seemed put out at all.

The food was fine, but not exceptionally good. Drinks rather expensive. The cheapest white wine costs 10€. The price is also only mentioned on request. Service good. 20% tip on the bill is unfortunately too much! That annoyed us in the end. Almost $100 for a simple dinner in a rustic atmosphere, without appetizers and dessert are too much even for Manhattan.

Unfortunately, the food has nothing to do with Greek cuisine and is very expensive, but the service was good.

The food was a little different than what we know from Germany, but still very, very good, the beer was as good as anywhere you can get good beer

Served undercooked chicken kabob sandwich. Food was ok until that point. Oily not crispy fries. Not as authentic as i thought the place was going to be. Wouldnt stop again when i can grab a chicken kabob on the street for less and its cooked correctly.

I visited The Greek Kitchen few weeks ago. Prices are the best I think in Mahattan, the food was really good! We had a Greek salad, octopus and a burger. All fresh and big portions! Highly recommended!

An unbelievably sad Greek Salad. Bad dressing, tired greens, dry and flavorless grilled shrimp-served with the shells still on, no less. Grilled octopus gave my jaw a workout. Sorry, but even the pita was uninteresting.

It goes like this. It wasn't what we imagine Greek cuisine to be. For some dishes the portion is too small, for others it is adequate. Therefore the price is rather too expensive. Service was ok, but not good. You can form your own picture.

I previously gave them a lousy review. A terrible server makes you want to do that.

So during the pandemic, I decided to order in. All three times the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the food came quickly. It was all good. I will go visit as soon as there will be open seating. I am hoping for the best.

Best Greek in New York!

This is my favorite Greek restaurant in New York City, hands down!
For those unfortunate enough to have stumbled into Eleni’s or Taverna Kyclades in the East Village, then a visit here should be medically prescribed in order to restore their love of all things Greek.
Everything on the menu is delicious - although the pork Souvlaki platter is my favorite - the food is well-priced and staff are excellent.
You will also note the presence of more seasoned New Yorkers at this restaurant, a sure sign that this is a place to be!
To The Greek Kitchen, please, never change!

NB: So far, they have also managed to keep out the soy-latte waving, AirPod wearing, Lulu Lemon or bust contingent. Bliss!

Sat near the windows. So we got a view! Food was delicious. Well worth the expense. I did not find it particularly pricey considering the size of the portions. We had the gyro deluxe, hot pikilia and chicken souvlaki along with a side of Greek fries and roasted potatoes. I found the potatoes a bit too vinegary for my palate but everything else was excellent. I definitely recommend this place. I look forward to coming back. I wanted to have desert but we still have half a Juniors cheesecake to finish. Hey! That means I have to come back! After all a meal isn’t complete without desert.

One of my favorite places in NYC. Genuine staff and incredible food. Best hummus and Skordalia I know of. I recommend this to anyone I can, bring friends, and have special events here and everyone I’ve brought leaves happy…and full!

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I went with my girlfriend and my parents and none of us were satisfied with our meal. In another city maybe this level of quality would be acceptable, but in Hell's Kitchen in NYC you expect the restaurants to be a cut above, and this simply wasn't. The staff were great though.
