The Grey Dog reviews
18Copious but a little expensive considering the quality of the dishes served. It takes between $20 and $30 per person, drinks included.
Grey Dog breakfast with french toast was great! Perfectly cooked poached eggs. Home fries were crisp outside and fluffy inside. Would go again!
It's just that~ I didn't go to the Uranun Apgu side, but it was a little messy! The potatoes were delicious and the salad burgers were okay~ I won't go there twice~
The service here is really bad. Like, extremely bad. Food was fine and the place itself was cute. But I won't go back. I was served soup without a spoon and had a hard time flagging someone down to get a spoon. Nobody checked on us once throughout our meals, except at the very end they offered my friend a refill on her drink (but not me on mine). No refills on tap water. They don't ask what temp you want your burger, maybe because ultra-well-done is the only option? At the end the waitress presented me with an iPad with tipping options starting at 20% and going up from there. Bleh
Although our service wasn't great, we had a delicious meal. Gluten free options and friendly diners. We had kids that were a bit antsy waiting for their food. Eclectic setting with lots of nooks and crannies for seating.
You won't regret visiting this amazing place! It has such a cool interior design that makes you feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, the portions are generous, so you won't leave hungry. (sorry for the bad photos)
Service was beyond poor. Waiter brought my pancake out with packaged butter in the syrup. It was so messy to get the butter out. Didn’t want to make a scene so I let it be. Waiter neither offered nor brought out sugar when I ordered tea. After our meal, we waited 15 plus minutes for our bill. Eventually, we walked over to the cashier and paid. Mind you, restaurant was not packed. It’s amazing how tip of 20% and above is expected for shoddy services these days. This business is bound to fail if they continue to hire crew of this caliber. There are plenty of good restaurants to pick from.
Definitely better service in the Soho one, because I would never go back to the one in Chelsea. Great food. Our server was attentive
The service was amazing, very nice and sympathetic servers that provided you with enough water to drink.we didn’t have to wait long for the food and the quality was amazing!
the atmosphere was cozy and sweet because of the flowers that hung throughout the street and the little colorful writings on the chalkboards.vegetarian friendly!
clean restroom!
I liked it a lot. 10 / 10 planning on going again. (:
Really liked the place but if the waiters could smile more it would be much more appreciated
The food was great. The early service was half asleep. They could have made at least 4 more cocktail sales had they asked as we ended walking across the street to get someone to serve us
I ordered breakfast togo and it took over 40 minutes. During that time I saw other tables around me get sat and served their meal before mine. Once my food arrived, the order was incorrect and the staff didn’t seem very apologetic about the wait. Overall a pretty frustrating situation.
I love everything food-related. Had a craving for classic Americana food. This place hit everything perfect.
The vibe was beachy without being cliche. The food was pretty tasty. The servers seemed a bit overwhelmed for a Friday afternoon, but were helpful and knew the menu well.
Update: Been to this Grey dog again and the quality is down. The plates, glasses and cutlery were all unclean. Service staff were not the most mindful either.
Great place to grab a quick brunch, especially if you are a college student.
The service was a little slow. I asked my avocado toast without any tahini sprinkles and they placed the opposite in the order. They can work in the service a little more.
Delicious breakfast, with a perfect cappuccino; great atmosphere family and LGBTQIA+ friendly - definitely 5 out of 5!
Hip breakfast/brunch spot in Soho. No reservations but the wait wasn’t very long for our table of 5. Many tasty vegan and vegetarian options. Ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and the vegan Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were great. Bloody Mary and coffee drinks were also
