The Inkan reviews
13Really cute neighborhood spot and best for dining in. Had this many many times. Chicharron is the best fried chicken in the neighborhood.
The Inkan is the place to go in LIC for Peruvian and Latin cuisine.
I have been to this establishment a couple of times and the staff and the food have always been amazing. The Peruvian grilled chicken is juicy, their ribs are tasty and their ceviche is always fresh. If you have a large party, I suggest calling ahead of time. The manager Jorge, will do his best to try and accommodate all of your needs as he did with my large group.
This LIC location also has a nice backyard, which opens when the weather is nice. If you are new to the area and don’t feel like cooking lunch or going out, try their food to be delivered. I have ordered take out a couple of times and the food has always arrived hot and on time.
Overall, I highly recommend the Inkan. Great food and good service.
The food is delicious. Have the ceviche clasico for a fresh and lemony sea bass experience. Very kind and helpful service. Lovely place. Perfect for your lunch break.
Food is an absolute 10/10. I’m still dreaming about the anticuchos and the chupe made me feel whole. Service was impeccable as well. Top 3 places in LIC for sure.
I can describe my meal as missing taste. Drinks were skimpy, bill wasn’t.
Too bad.
The food is delicious and authentic, at least I haven't tested anything like this in other Latin American restaurants. I recommend trying one of their ceviches, they have 6 or 7 of them to choose from. The location is very convenient just near a subway station on LIC. The room is spacious by New York standards. Prices are reasonable by the same standards, we paid $70 for a dinner for two before tips. I plan to come here again to try other dishes.
The food was okay but for the price I was expecting more. The steak was cooked more medium well than medium rare. The service was generally good but it seem you have to ask for water or it isn't given. It was more irritating for me that the restaurant forces a 20% tip on the receipt even for a party of 2. Won't be coming back.
Very nice, intimate atmosphere. My boyfriend made reservations and planned a surprise intimate engagement dinner and the staff helped him with everything. The food was delicious, fast service and great drinks. Wonderful place.
Slow service and mediocre food…this place doesn’t hold a candle to other Peruvian options in the city. Rotisserie chicken dry and underseasoned and didn’t even come with any sauces. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but the whole experience was very underwhelming.
Small place with bar and tables, one other party in the place made the noise level ridiculous. Wait staff fairly inattentive. Food limited selection and mediocre taste. I tried, but I won't be back.
My favorite restaurant in LIC! Inkan Salad and the juice are must-try, way better than sweet green
A cozy space with amazing food! Great energy and an extremely friendly staff. The Ceviches are a must try, the best I've ever had. They've also got a nice outdoor sitting area. I'll definitely be back️
I’ve been here a few times and tried various items on the menu so I felt it was time for a review. Everything I’ve tried is delicious, fresh, authentic, and the prices are reasonable! It’s in a great location (2 min walk from train) and the restaurant is very clean. The patio is nice for warm weather. The service was good and the owner is friendly and attentive!
I ordered the Palta Rellena and the Ceviche LIC. The ceviche has squid ink which makes the ceviche black lol but its delicious! I highly recommend! The lomo saltado with green rice is also my favorite. Don’t leave without trying the Alfajores! They are freshly made. As a Peruvian foodie, I highly recommend The Inkan!
