The Jolly Goat Coffee Bar reviews
16 Coffee is great, but there’s something to be said about the importance of customer service and friendliness in a local coffee shop.
I’m not saying the barista needs to make small talk or act super bubbly all the time, but every single time I’m there (10+ times over the past year) he acts like he is physically repulsed by my presence. Just consistently a very bizarre and hostile experience.
Small storefront and when we visited seemed to be understaffed. Cashier was very polite and handling things well but the line moved slowly. One man show barista and cashier. Latte and croissant were both delicious!
Great coffee, closest to a Melbourne latte I could find in New York. However the service was bordering on hostile. I’m not complaining about the gentleman being unfriendly, or rude, he was outright disgusted by my presence.
Customer service is hard work, I’ve been there. But to be that disrespectful to customers only hurts that small business/cafe.
Cute little coffee spot. Not too busy, one guy serving and taking orders and payments. Asked for two dry Capps, got one dry and another not sure but great coffee all the same! Immunity shots in the fridge were great too!
Some of the best coffee I’ve had in NYC. The Tumeric Latte is guaranteed to make you smile.
Acceptable coffee for a high price. Guy who works there has a chip on his shoulder and ruins any positive experience you may have in this place. He acts as though every customer is a bother to him and he is disgusted by. We have experienced this every time have stopped by here.owner seems in denial about this
Sweet little spot on a messy hell’s kitch street. Coffee is great but barista is so grumpy and does not smile, owner is nice and otherwise great spot.
Maybe not the best coffee I’ve had but it was still good. Croissants were nice also. Vibe was 10/10.
Very decent espresso. Small shop, so great for a quick drink-and-go. Prices are slightly higher than similar places, but probably reasonable for the location.
Nice little coffee shop.
Barista could be a bit happier or at least friendly.
I understand long days and you are tired but this was 10am. Overpriced coffees.
Not coming back. Be aware it’s non dairy milk in coffees.
What a cute spot! The barista (who seemed to possibly also be the owner?) was so kind and helpful. The iced tea was really nice and didn't have any added sugar. Just a note, there is very limited seating inside (2 bar stools by the window and 2 people can fit on a separate bench). My only suggestion would be to add a few low/no-sugar beverage options in the refrigerator (maybe like Boyi or BKE Bushwick kombucha).
Great little spot with a couple chairs inside and a couple benches outside if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee.
Great coffee. Brandon, the barista is awesome and really makes you feel at home. Excellent service! Thank you!
Coffee here is unbeatable. Brooklyn roast is the best in the world and Urban Rooster coffee beans are the best in the city. Tried it once and now can’t drink any other brand!
Coffee is ok.but dont give me the machine to give you a tip when coffee is already 5 dollars.
