The Lake House on Canandaigua

What a great place to spend time. The hotel itself is beautiful and it is right on Canandaigua Lake. The food and drinks are great. Most importantly, ALL of the staff are accommodating, kind, and hard working. I would highly recommend.

My husband and I got married this weekend and stayed at the Lakehouse. The hotel is beautiful with great views of canandaigua lake. The front desk staff (Brittney and Ian) were wonderful and so accommodating. Barb at the bar is also wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our wedding weekend.

Very nice venue.and the best option in the region. But, the menu in the main restaurant could use a serious upgrade.

We are staying on the property for a wedding and it’s *absolutely* lovely. The only complaint is the noise level when you have an adjoining room, even with doors close. Ask if you can have a room without an adjoining door. We can hear clear conversations, showers, etc.crystal clear from our neighbors, unfortunately! It has really affected the downtime we were looking forward to in our room.

Great location, friendly staff…. Every time we come we are greeted and met with a welcoming atmosphere and welcoming attitude staff wide! We love it, and we will be back! Our son and new daughter were married here, and we have returned several times since to enjoy the spa, dining and amenities! We have seen a few people who were “having bad experiences”, from our vantage point those folks were going to have bad experiences everywhere! God bless the staff who have to deal with guests who believe luxury hotel means they are supposed to get waited on constantly and showered with attention…in our experiences, it was always perfect or they attempted to make things better, well done Lake House!

Super clean and nice room with really good service. All amenities are great and well cared for. We had a wonderful time. Worth every penny.

I actually wash the buildings here. And although I've never stayed there an can't comment on that I will say the place is very clean. The staff is very friendly the saunas look amazing. But the sand bar attached is awesome spot to go in the summer.

This is our second time staying here, this visit was not nearly as good as 2021. All style and no substance, rooms are beautiful but staffing totally lacking. Have multiple valets to park your car like 3 feet away from the hotel (unnecessary) but no one staffing the drinks/coffee bar. Rose Tavern food extremely overpriced. Not a convenient location for visiting the best wineries.

My wife and I are currently guests of the motel and were not given wine when we checked in like other guests. I asked the staff and they ‘Oh, you can have it now’.
We checked in 3 days ago.
No apology or reason given.

We arrived after 3pm to check in but had to wait 40min before our room was ready.

The library bar was unavailable on Monday. I asked if it was available to guests the rest of the week and the person at the desk said it would be. It is again unavailable tonight to guests.

My wife bought 2 small coffees this morning at the hotel for $12 and they were cold.

I hope people realize the flaws of the hotel and stay somewhere else.

My first visit to the spa the facilities are nice. We booked a massage and a facial. Both services were very good. In comparison to another fairly local spa which gives you day use of many amenities, this spa did not have many other amenities. It was a nice day, the employees were the best part of the day.

What a great place We just celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary here and couldn't have asked for a better spot. Excellent service. Excellent location. Excellent food. Excellent spa. It was our first time in this area, and we found there was lots to do (we were here 3 nights and it was the right number of days). There are several nice wineries and breweries nearby. We look forward to coming back!

This hotel, owned by the Constellation Beverages family, is spectacular. It is like something out of a movie set with it's alabaster white setting, beautiful grounds, and awesome view of the lake. It is close to a number of great wineries in the Finger Lakes as well. It's a must see.

Amazing hotel on the lake! We had a first level room which was great, as you can leave the room to the lake side. We also booked massage and Sauna experience and both were great. Highly recommend for a couple night stay to unwind and relax.

Visited this hotel after having breakfast at the Rose Tavern. It is a beautiful hotel with nice decor. Even in the Fall the hotel appears vibrant and cozy. The staff were present and preparing for arrivals and conferences. I loved the white hallways and light fixtures. The pier with all the boats on the lake was my favorite thing about this hotel.

Lovely property and rooms. However, for the price I would expect the service to be much better. Seemed like an inconvenience to ask for service multiple times over our weekend stay.

I was honestly shocked to see how poorly the staff at this hotel addressed charges for the services that I did not receive. The amount of time that has been consumed on something so simple is amazing. Not one person that I had spoken to there followed through on anything they said.

In response to the hotel’s response - I had emailed and spoke to him. He never followed through either….
