The Liberty NYC reviews
19Lovely beautiful restaurant, the jalapeño margaritas were delish. The salmon salad is perfectly portioned. Staff were excellent. And we love the French fries golden crunchy.
Great spot, the manager Jonathan is outstanding. His customer service is top notch. Will definitely be back just for him. The pancakes are so light and fluffy.
Went here because I had to wait for my wife to pick something up, before we went to dinner nearby. I was excited to try the O’Hara Stout on draft since you pretty much never see this beer on draft in the states. Unfortunately I sat there for like 5 minutes just watching the bartender pour foam into a pitcher. They said its a new keg and they’re having problems with it. Okay fine whatever. So then I had the $10 happy hour whiskey-based mule-drink instead which was lovely. My plan was to go sit in the cozy leather chairs outside but by the time I got outside there was a massive group who took over half of the leather chairs and then the other section was marked off as all being reserved so I couldn’t sit there. Overall a strange place but I could see it being a nice place to bring a large group to and reserve some comfy chairs.
Being our first night in NYC, this was the perfect introduction. Vibrant, quick, cool, intense. The food was above Pub average and the service was great. Fun.
A little Midtown gem. I've been here twice so far and have had great experiences both times. I always come for the happy hour (which extends through 8pm!). The drinks are delicious and a great size for the price. We had the shareable platter which was pretty good, however my partner didn't like the wings and I found the Mac 'n Cheese bites to be a little bland. This time around I had the steak sandwich and OH MY GOD it was so good even the next day, I'd probably go back for that alone. I feel like steak sandwiches are hit or miss so this was a nice surprise. Overall the servers were nice and the price was moderate for the midtown area, not too crowded. Would absolutely come back again.
Everyone at this place was super sweet and helpful. Never experienced better service in the city. Made us feel so comfortable and the interaction between coworkers was so heartwarming. I never give reviews but after coming here I had to.
Very convenient locationand great place for happy hour deals and bites. This place is huge and keeps going into the back. Plenty of seating for any size group and there is a decent menu for broad tastes, whether it is an appetizer or dinner. Friendly service. Would recommend if you're looking for HH in this Midtown area! Make a rezzy!
Very friendly customer service and a nice, comfortable relaxing atmosphere. We went for drinks and wiiiiings and we were not disappointed at all.
Great service and fabulous food. Bartender and owner were both very gracious to two visitors to NY. Definitely a repeat choice!
Great service, big s/o to the staff, we took the basement to gather the entire crowd, and it was damn easy, accommodates 40 people easily and has its own bar. Louis was serving us that night, and I have to appreciate him for his service! If you’re looking to go in a big crowd, this is the place!
This is a local gathering place and can get busy a lot on evenings, even on the weekdays. People come here to enjoy the street atmosphere outside or the television and decor inside.
The bar has outdoor seating that is quite nice, with a mix of couches and tables brought out later in the day. Inside, the unique bar shape allows for patrons to sit all around the bartender.
Aside from that, the staff are friendly and courteous. If your food takes too long, they keep tabs on that and will go ask about it, given that it's not too crowded.
The food is okay. The fries with garlic are crispy and the garlic is present. But it's not very seasoned for my taste. They also have wings that are of decent number, but they are the typical small kind. The pork sliders I got had tender meat, but the sauce was too much when I had it mixed in, and that was all I could taste. But it's not a bad place for a small bite, since the main draw is the drinks and company.
Hands down…after 6 days in NYC, we found that The Liberty offered THE best service. So much so, we visited twice! The owner, Glenn, went out of his way to ensure a positive experience as did the bartender, Callie, the hostess, Skylar, and our server, Sarah. The Saturday brunch and bottomless drinks were phenomenal. Can’t say enough about our experience here. Def add it to your list of places to dine!
Venus voir un match de rugby en famille, super repas, et tournée de shooter a l'écrasante victoire de France du patron! Super ambiance!
A little overpriced, but the food was okay. Nothing too amazing but it also wasn't the worst. Drinks during happy hour was good, not a big fan of ginger beer though. Would definitely recommend the frozen margaritas
If you have an event to host The Liberty is your place. Damon was a life saver - he was extremely accommodating in creating a space last minute for our group of 30 on a Thursday night. There was nothing we were left wanting. I'd 100% go back.
If ordering to go be sure to fully inspect before leaving. We ordered a Margherita pizza. It was actually a cheese pizza. This upset two in our party. Which meant I got to hear about it. Would not order from here again. Second meal lacked flavor. Mash potatoes were good.
When you visit New York city you must go to the Liberty restaurant bar and event establishment on 29W 35th street. The place to go for great service, friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. Great vibes, great food, beer and cocktails. Got to mention Damon, always happy in his work and Luis the manager who both will always go the extra mile for you. Not to leave out the girls who are also brilliant and the floor staff as well. A must when you visit New York City the Liberty is the place to go and party... From one very happy customer who always drops in when in the city.
SKYLAR AND SARAH ARE THE BEST. Truly made me feel welcome on my trip to NYC. The service was amazing. I will be back. Also, the food + bottomless drinks are it! Calli is doing her thing on the drinks, and Damon’s hospitality is amazing as well. Thank you. Friendly staff! Glenn the owner, thank you for checking in on us. How often does the owner make sure you’re ok? This was the best service I have come across in a VERY long time. Thank you so much to the liberty staff.
Beyond disappointing. My pizza was undercooked. The cheese tastes like pure grease. Zero tomatoes, no visible tomato sauce. Worse than public school food in a post Michelle Obama world. Feel a bit bad bc the staff seemed kinda nice.
