The Lion King reviews
31Amazing show. Was surprised for a birthday and absolutely would recommend visiting if you have the opportunity.
I've witnessed this piece of master theatre three times. Once at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and twice on Broadway. I can not wait to see it again-I check the website daily for the 2021 re-opening schedule. You know the story, but you MUST see how well executed it's been created for the stage. Go. See. This. Play!
Beautiful performance, sets, costumes, & actors.
Epic and powerful. I never thought I can enjoy The Lion King again as an adult.
Amazing show. Actors were brilliant. Would highly recommend going to see The Lion King. Money well spent. If I'm ever in NYC again will definitely go again. One of the best broadway shows around.
What an amazing performance! Can not say it enough how fantastic it was! You really feel like you are there with the animals not in the middle of New York! Fantastic!
Amazing show and experience. Surprised my mother for her 60th birthday. Must see show for all ages. Actors did a great job. Place was clean, getting inside didn’t take too long. Would definitely go again once everything opens back up.
The scenery and costumes and puppetry was very good but the acoustics, voices and music was overall not effective and underwhelming. Disappointing
World class musical for everyone. Excellent performance, costume and stage design. I enjoyed it very much.
J'ai pu retrouver toute la magie du roi Lion dans cette comedie musicale avec l'humour qu'on lui connais.
Meme si le spectacle est un peu cher vous en oublierez vite le montant une fois dedans.
Broadway is broadway, Life is better with fun
This is probably the best show on broaday that you can see. From customs to voices, songs atmosphere, actors and actresses, all detail is meticolous treated. I really enjoy the show which make me feel again a child watching astonished for first time lion king's film. I felt again that feelings. I would repeat again the experience. Very well done, totally recommended!
Amazing costumes, stage design and decor, but mixed performances and a story that's just too predictable and familiar.
Great play. The production was awesome and had great actors. I only disliked the actor for adult Simba, he had a very whiny voice.
The costumes and effects were very clever if you know what the movie was like and what they were imitating. Highly recommended for adults and kids alike
Greatest show I have ever seen! It is really spectatular performance worth of the money they are asking for.
An old lady who leads people to seats was so impolite. She told me to go to no. 5. But I couldn't find the number (numbers were written above each gates. How could I find that? I'm new here! And they were dark color). So I asked her again like 'this way? ' but she answered 'What did I say to you? ' and I was so embarrased that I couldn't answer anything. But she kept asking me 'What did I say to you? ' four times again. She ruined my day. Couldn't she just let me know where the number is? If she wants to say like that to every guests why does she work here? She was soooooo rude. I never seen such a rude person in United states. She was the one near the escalator on the 2nd floor right hand side.
I teared up at least 6 times from nostalgia starting with the opening scene. The singing is a 7/10 and the hyenas didn't enunciate their words enough to be understood, but the costumes, choreography, props and the spectacle of the whole show was an AMAZING 12/10. The seats are also relatively roomy with leg room and width, and even the worst tickets have a great view.
This was a great interpretation of the story. It runs around 2.5 hours. They combine analog and digital effects seamlessly. The set were amazing, especially the stampede created by Skar. This is pricey, but it's Broadway and worth the price.
A must-see! Wonderfully immersive and entertaining! I'm not a big fan of seeing "movies" at the theater, but this takes things to a whole new level.
Doesn't get better than this Broadway performance! A show the entire family, from young to old, must see at least once in their lifetimes!
Oh my great! My daughter's took me there for my birthday and it was one of the best birthday gift. The show - music, lighting, costumes, characters everything is just great.
