The Lodge on Echo Lake, Warrensburg NY

I’ve now coordinated a few different weddings in the upstate NY region and this venue was by far the most challenging to work with. The venue coordinator Ashley was unresponsive and often no-showed to meetings. Unfortunately, we had to contact the owner on multiple occasions to even get a response out of her.

The rehearsal was unorganized and Ashley even said at one point “we will figure it out tomorrow”, as if she didn’t understand the function of a rehearsal.

My bride was bothered the day before her wedding about accommodation payments that hadn’t been made by some guests and again on the morning of her wedding. A good rule of thumb is to not stress a bride out on and around their wedding day, especially with items that could have been handled in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

During set up of the venue, Ashley retreated to her office until a prospective couple arrived. More attention was given to the prospective couple than the couple that was getting married that day.

I would not recommend this venue unless they hire a new coordinator. The wedding day ended up being beautiful and I know the bride and groom had the perfect day, but it was way more stressful than it needed to be directly as a result of the coordinator.

Lastly, if you do choose this venue - please make sure you get everything in writing.

Had a dinner for 80 people there. Service was excellent, staff was wonderful, and the food served buffet style was hot and very tasty. Our second year doing this and hope to do it again next year.

I worked with Ashley here and she was amazing. She was so excited to be there for our day and was so helpful and accommodating as I’m a mom with a six month old who is breastfeeding. Having some peace with keeping things set for her was so nice.
The venue itself is so gorgeous and we had a perfect winter wonderland. The wall of windows allowed us to stay warm while feeling like we were outside in that winter wonderland. The food was insanely amazing and again I cannot speak highly enough of Ashley. My wedding was perfect because she helped day of and the day before. The pure joy she shows celebrating with us was more than I could’ve expected. I cannot wait for all the pictures to show our beauty and the beauty of the venue.

We celebrated our wedding at The Lodge on Friday, October14th.
The Lodge and the lake served as a spectacular backdrop for our special day. We couldn't have been more pleased. We wanted a rustic venue for our ceremony and reception and The Lodge was the first and only venue we looked at. We immediately were enthralled with the beauty of the setting on the lake. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the site was and wanted to know how we found it. The Lodge is truly a best kept secret!
In addition to the beauty of the site, the food was equally wonderful! Our guests commented how delicious the meals were as well as how sizable the portions were and raved over the
hors d'oeuvres. The timely service of meals on the table assured everyone's dinner was hot.
While the site and the food were astounding, we cannot leave this review without raving about the coordinator, Kathy Votraw.
From our immediate contact through postponing a year due to Covid, Kathy was always a calming presence to answer questions and concerns. Her pleasant and genuine demeanor allowed us to always feel comfortable and not stressed during the whole process right through to our big day. We felt very fortunate to have Kathy coordinating everything.
To summarize The Lodge on Echo Lake in one word:
"PERFECT! "
