Well, i didnt have like big expectations, just wanted a meal with a view and protect myself from the rain. But, it was great, nice food, great wine and ok service, and yes, amazing view!

Food was excellent, as was the service. Greeters could have been more attentive, we walked in and they couldn't see us as a poster blocked their view.

Simply a must. This iconic restaurant located in the heart of Central Park is a great place to have lunch. Pro Tip - book online in advance.

Smoked Fish plate and prosecco. Beautiful setting on the water with big fish ambling by. The perfect place for a lunch for 2, for 4, or more!

I cannot express how thrilled I am with our experience! Just as NYC was starting to open again, we were able to host our wedding dinner reception at Loeb Boathouse, and the staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. It was so beautiful to watch the sunset on the lake and we were even visited by a few turtles!

Michael helped us set everything up, and was very communicative with all our questions. I do not remember our server's name (maybe Stephanie?), but she was also amazing!

All our guests were blown away by the deliciousness of the food, the magic of the setting, the high level of service. On top of it all, they brought a shuttle around to help us get back to our hotel safely.

If I could give 100 stars, I would!

They have row boats you can use for $20 for an hour. They ask for $40 in the booth but return $20 if you come back within the hour. Super fun

The location and view were the best aspects of our time here. Their variation of a mule tasted like ginger ale was used rather than ginger beer. A pork tenderloin was drier than it should have been. Overall, the food was good to very good.

Had cocktails and beets on a sunny day. Locale and spot in central park 10/10. No idea about the food, heard it's allright but pricy. Either way, go here if in New York and weather allows it.

Went to a friend's wedding here, using their extended event space. Nice space for about 75 people Max. Nice private patio overlooking the water. Was on a Sunday. You probably have to book at least a year or two in advance.

Enjoyed wonderful afternoon here. We had the salmon and the shredded chicken salad. Both were very good but nothing tops the ambience!

Ok location next to the freeway and water. Service Ok. Very overpriced. $150 for burgers and beers. 2 people.
Massive tourist trap.

Fantastic venue. My husband and I, have enjoyed various dishes during our visits 2009,2010,2011 and 2013.

Great location, delicious menu and friendly service.

Highly recommend.

Saturday gives rise
I hear her calling
the breeze pushes
I am drawn to the calling
I know why we meet
and it's a calling to my
deepest hunger.
The french toast
the sausage,
the bloody mary,
the drunken fruit,
the coffee,
the painted scenery.the lake calls my name,
the food calls my soul.
This is genus loci.

A rare gem! The most beautiful place to dine in nyc city, overlooking on a lake in Central Park. Food is very tasty and has great options for adults and kids.

Long wait so we sat at the outdoor bar. Amazing view and easy to get a table. Good drink menu but very limited food selection. Edible food and reasonable prices. Next time we will probably take food from the counter and sit on the boulders behind the cafe. More selection at the counter and inexpensive. If the goal is to enjoy the park and the sunshine this is it.
You must visit the reflecting pool and Alice in wonderland across the road.
