The Maze Bar & Eatery Best Korean Bar NYC reviews
17Great food and drinks with reasonable price. Not for those who like being cozy for this place is noisy since it is a korean bar.
The best bar in ktown. All the staff are super helpful and nice, and the food is amazing. I love their mojitos and their selection of whiskey. The blueberry crush is SOOOO good. Food is amazing too. Their mussels are honestly the best in the city and that’s coming from someone who’s been to almost every single michelin star French restaurant in the city. At the bar, ask for Ariel, Claire, or Kevin. They are the NICEST baretenders you’ll ever have.
Service is friendly, they card at the entrance, right after you get off the elevators, and the space is small but adequate. It's cool for some drinks with friends, and the fries are tasty; they put old bay seasoning on it and served it with spicy mayo and ketchup, yum! Bathrooms need a bit more attention.
Nothing crazy. Food isn't too great. 떡볶이 Was horrendous had some sort of food coloring since it was bright red almost pink.
Outdoor seating due C-19 so took a moment for service. Food was absolutely delicious and the music on point.
Interesting fusion of Mexican and Korean food. Great tastes and definitely on the spicy side. Very dark inside, though. Made it hard to read the menu.
Beautiful place to spend happy hour. Happy hour prices are very reasonable. Servers were friendly and even came to tell us Happy Hour would be ending in 5 minutes. The food was delicious. I do wish the tacos were bigger but it was still incredibly good.
Great cocktails and stellar fusion food. Make sure you make a reservation, or hope you get lucky (happens often enough I guess). Low key enough to have a real conversation without being drowned out by noise, yet still have an interactive experience.
Has a nice atmosphere and is pretty chill to hang out at. We were able to get seats pretty fast and easily with a party of 7 so I appreciate the waiter for that. Would go back here for the pitcher somaek.
Trendy spot in Koreatown with very cool interior. They take reservations which is convenient if you're looking for place for happy hour, lots of great tasting cocktails to choose from! They have a very good menu selection, especially if anyone in your group is vegetarian (buffalo cauliflower is particularly delicious)
YOU GUYS. I spent the weekend in NYC with my girlfriends, and I'm not sure how we ended up at this restaurant but I'M SO GLAD we did. The servers and the manager made us feel like family. The manger brought over some of their signature liquor to celebrate with us, and they brought us their delicious churros on the house! The food was insanely incredible and the atmosphere on a Saturday night for my girls and I was perfection. 10/10 would recommend!
Really great food and a pretty good atmosphere. The only downside is that it can be a bit loud and service tends to be really slow. I also ordered the same drink three times and each time it was different. I would give it another shot though because of the interesting menu.
I swung by here for the first time in years with a friend. We came in around 7pm on a saturday night (just before rush hour). The receptionist told us we had to wait 20 mins for a table for two when there were clearly open tables all around the restaurant. I thought this was a bit odd (no way all these tables were reserved). I asked them very politely if we can be seated at any open table (4 person seat). They reluctantly said yes and we were seated right away. Minor hiccup on service.moving on. This night we ordered the spicy and sweet chicken wing, bulgogi tacos and sweet potato fries. The sweet spicy wings were well fried but the sauce didnt taste right (the raw gochujang aka pepper paste was overwhelming in the sauce), tacos were flavorful but super tiny and a bit on the dry side, and sweet potatoe fries were avg at the best (def couldve used more crunch). For the size and quality, the price of food was a bit high. As far as the space, it is cozy and the decor inside was viby-could be a decent first drink date option. Overall, I probably would not go here again esp for the food. Many better options in koreatown for korean bar food in my opinion.
Made reservations a few weeks in advance. When we showed up, we were placed in the corner away from everyone else. Waited 10 minutes to order drinks. When our water (Not even the drinks we ordered) was brought to us the cups were dirty. The server did not even notice us get up and leave. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Cheers!
Accommodated a large party without complaint and kept the for and drinks coming. Some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had.
Went with a large group of friends from law school and we were treated kindly despite our large group size. Soju was tasty and a favorite at the table. Cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Note: be mindful of the stairs if you choose to take them, as they’re carpeted and very, very small and narrow. The elevator gets a little funny and likes to stall and it’s incredibly narrow, so maybe not all that accessible.
Went here for happy hour on a Sunday. It was slow, but the bartender and hostess were extremely pleasant and paid attention to us. Their service was terrific, but not over bearing. The bulgogi dimbbhap was outstanding as well as the lychee martini (well, 2 lychee martinis) and the classic mojito was decent. You can't beat the value for the money! We loved the vibe of Koreatown at night. Would recommend and look forward to coming back when we're back in NYC. Definitely check it out!
