The Michelangelo New York - Starhotels Collezione

I had a postally used cover of Hotel TAFT former name. I couldn't visit to the hotel during my tour to Newyork due to medical emergency of my son during 2016. May be better luck next time.

Very charming and classic environment. Rooms are very comfortable.
Breakfast is poor and must be changed and must have the same level of the hotel with cheese, fruits and option.not only coffee and flavor

I’m reluctant to post a good review cause I don’t want this place to become inaccessible. But, that wouldn’t be cool. For my next stay in NY, this will be the first hotel I check.

Completely incompetent staff, a lunatic bartender, and a run down hotel. Worst NYC experience to date. Lesson learned, I will never select another union run hotel.

Beautiful room, great service. Given a free upgrade just for checking in. Accessible to theaters and great food. Perfect weekend getaway! I know a hot shower at 930am on a Sunday might be a lot to expect, since everyone on the hotel is probably showering at the same time, but the shower was luke warm.

4 star rating as it is in the guide, once again situated in a prime spot great restaurants and bars great base for all your needs.

I did a week-long job here in the hotel staff is very accommodating. The hotel is very nice and the decor is beautiful.

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel and their staff just an amazing experience all around. This was our first visit to New York and I was expecting, I must say aloof snarky attitudes (I'm from the south, lol) they proved me wrong. Our Manhattan stay was just incredible. The Michelangelo will always be our place to stay when in NYC.

Booked The Michelangelo a little over a month ago for my girlfriend and I for a couple of days later on this month. I've been reading through the reviews. I used to live in NY when I was younger and am excited to go back as a tourist! Rated five stars for the expectation through the reviews and will update after our stay! Can't wait!

I stay here four or five times a year and am torn on how to rate it. The staff is attentive and friendly and many of them have been there for years. It is always nice to see a familiar face after a day of traveling. The restaurant offers a fairly limited menu but the dishes are generally well prepared. The best thing about the hotel is that once you are inside it is easy to forget that you are in the middle of New York City. The location is also great positioned in the theater district and near Central Park and 5th Avenue.

My issue is that the hotel while not shabby by any stretch of the imagination, is getting a bit tired and could use a refresh.
