The New Jewel Of India reviews
16 We reserved the private room for a family party - and are so happy that we did! The food was delicious - we were able to request exactly what we wanted to serve and everything was ready on time and as ordered. My family was surprised at how good everything was, and the room was clean and spacious and we had it to ourselves. There is even a separate door into the room for convenience.
If you are looking for a place to host a party, do not hesitate! We were all thrilled!
Great selection and all our dishes were wonderful. Definitely will be going back many more times.
I am IN LOVE! I wanted something different for a late dinner tonight. I got something amazing. The food is decadent, rich, prepared perfectly and I will definitely be ordering again!
Incredible food and friendly staff. Best Indian food I've had the pleasure of eating so far.
2 year edit: Still stands true, whenever I think of Indian I come here haha
I have eaten a lot of Indian Restaurants across NY state. This is one of the best I have had. The food is flavorful and fresh tasting. The waitress who I think is one of the co-owners was kind and attentive. I had the chicken curry lentil dish garnished with cilantro that came with soft fragrant basmati rice. I wanted to lick the plate when I was finished! LoL. Visit this wonderful eatery. You won't be disappointed!
If you are looking for a great Indian dinner Buffet, this is where you need to come. They offer a dinner buffet on Thursdays. Quaint place, with plenty of safe parking right in front. Very clean, service was super. I tried every item offered on the hot buffet line. Everything was very tasty and on the milder. No super spicey items which is great for a wide range of taste to suit all customers. They do have cold salad items, soup, drinks (Chai tea, Rose Milk, Ice water). They offer dine in and take out. Definitely coming back for this one. I do not often give 5 Stars but there wasn't anything negative to tarnish a great rating. You could call this place a hidden "Jewel",
I'm sorry I didn't come here sooner. Enjoy!
This is probably the best Indian food in Buffalo, everything I've gotten here is amazing. The food is very flavorful and the people are great.
Wonderful place to dine in! I loved my Tandoori shrimp! The chicken curry was watery but everything was seasoned well! Would come back again!
I’m a shrimp person but I didn’t even touch this time it was not fully cooked and the chicken was raw!
Their biryani is too soggy and they take forever to get the food.
My fiancé and I love new jewel. We try to switch up our dishes and we have never been disappointed. Tonight we went to the buffet and it was just as delicious as everything else we order, we are so full. We love that it's family owned and everyone there is friendly.
I recommend the buffet if you want to try other things without a full plate commitment or if you aren't confident in what you want. Hoping they slowly expand the the days for the buffet, but I'm definitely still willing to come in on a Thursday for it.
The food was excellent as well as the service. Portions were huge. I wasn't even able to eat a third of it. Had enough for 3 more meals lol
It's a great experience. Staff members are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The service and food received was so amazing.
The food is always fresh and tastes great, the staff is always polite and helpful. Priced well. The best place for Indian food.
Ordered Samosa's, authentic Indian taste. Chutney's were yum! Reminded me of Mumbai Street food!
There new Naan bread maker does an excellent job! They have improved in texture and flavor.
I don’t leave reviews very often but I HAVE to give this place some recognition… and I would’ve added some photos but I ate it all before I could, whoops.
Very friendly staff, very cosy atmosphere with beautiful Indian music playing, and the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in a long while. I went to sleep dreaming about this food and woke up craving it. I was so sad to finish my leftovers for lunch, but couldn’t resist. You can really taste the love that goes into this food. Cannot wait to go back.
Oh, and note to hotheads like me. I found that their X Hot isn’t TOO hot, and when I made mention of this, the server beautifully explained that they try not to make their dishes so hot that you cannot enjoy the flavour, but that one can always add extra spice on the side to add to their dish if they’re really seeking that extra punch to their dish. After he made this point, however. I thought about it and I think agree with him. Given that this is a family owned establishment and the food is comforting and cosy, I want to respect the cooking and love that went into this yummy food by making sure I can actually taste it, lol.
Thank you for the beautiful food experience, New Jewel of India!
