Please don’t waste your money and time at this Restaurant the staff are unprofessional lier they steal my family food and they telling me they delivered the full item which in they eat it themselves who I know they refused to do a redeliver

Was amazing food was quick and great. Clam chowder was tasty and crab legs were good. Little pricy I spend 50 just for myself but still worth it.

My favorite place to eat in I am beyond disappointed. I have been a loyal customer of the Crab Shanty for over 10 years or more.
Sometimes eating here 3 or 4 times a week.
I used to love coming for the lunch special with the snow crab legs Originally it was around $26 which was great it's great last time I went which is about 2 months ago it went up to about $31.
I went a few days ago and now the same exact food same exact portion same exact lunch special is $40.
I understand things are going up because of Corona ETC. But to raise the price this high on a lunch so called special is not special at all it is ridiculous for 2 clusters of snow crab and a few accompaniments. The crabs were overcooked as well this place really fell off!
I'm going to start going somewhere else it is a shame because I have always spoke highly of this place and even supported them during Corona with getting curbside pick up and eating outside when they had the tent set up in the parking lot.island

The food was phenomenal the service was great. It was my birthday and we decided to do something different, it wasn't that crowded we got a good spot to sit. Our waiter unfortunately I didn't get his name, a slim chiseled looking dude. The food came out hot and fresh. Great plates the food was served on. I was there 6 years ago and waited over 2 hours to be seated and still didn't get through, people came after us and we're seated before us. I said I would never come back here after that incident. The maitre D was very unpleasant and It was unusually crowded that night but the servers at that time looked like they knew the people and let them in before us. I just wanted to take my wife out for date night. Oh well that was in the past.

Lobster was the best! Well seasoned. Loved the seasoned crust on the whole lobster I ordered. Food was fresh. Really loved the crisp fries. The shrimp were huge. Garlic bread very good. Nice cozy comfortable family atmosphere. Strong drinks. Big shots.

Every time I come here they do not disappoint.

I like that they don’t stress the mask wearing policy.

Our waiter is always knowledgeable, helpful & pleasant. Valet is a breeze & we even got seated pretty quickly with no wait time.

Our food was hot, fresh, flavorful, delicious & memorable, as always. Every single time the food taste amazing.

Food was very salty. Ordered the fried platter and it literally had 2 shrimp and the rest was calamari.
Not as good as it once was.

We ordered 2 broiled salmon. The food was tasteless. I’m not sure how this place is so highly rated. I paid $85 for 2 pieces of salmon with no seasoning. And the place smells so funky. They need to get rid of that carpet

The food was delicious & fresh! The restaurant is VERY CLEAN. Our waiter (forgot his name) was amazing very attentive. I would definitely go back.

Anyone who really knows me knows that this is my spot! Their seafood is undeniable! Even though our favorite waiter resently retired, the service is excellent! Love this place!

City island has great food over all. Crab Shantys also has great tasting food and the prices are reasonable to enjoy a wonderful delicious meal.

My broiled scallops were Devine. Their garlic bread is to live for. Soup, salad. All of my people had a great dining experience. Gotta go. Chat with you later.

Shrimp basket to go is amazing! Better than Tony or Johnny's hands down. 4 star only because the tarter sauce is garbage.

Terrible take out service. Food was dry with no taste no dressing for the salad therefore also dry. The side had no complimentary sauces also dry. The only thing that was good was the garlic bread. Paid a-lot of money to eat food that was not well prepared. No more take out for me here
