The Paley Center For Media reviews
15We are a member so we didn't pay. Membership is worth it because all children under 12 gets in free and you can bring a guest, which was my spouse. We went for Shark Week. It was so much fun. We got a free Shark hat and a pair of sunglasses and got to take free photos with a Mr Shark, I think.
Very impressive teen podcast project. Soil for media talents. Keep up with your good work. A Shark discovery for this week as well. Reception is very friendly.
Wonderful spot for exhibitions and live shows Always a good idea to check their schedule Enjoyed the Marvelous Mrs Maisel exhibit which was free. The exhibition was so well detailed.
There's nothing really much to see. Watched a short film on sharks and then about comedies. I thought it would be a museum about film and TV but did not meet my expectations.
Watching the premiere episodes of Star Trek original series, TNG, Discovery, Picard and SNW on the big screen was amazing.
This place is great for great for those with autism and other sensory related disabilities. Quiet. Not crowded. Clean. Friendly staff. Also wheelchair accessible. There are elevators and large restrooms on nearly every floor. Don’t expect a lot to do except VR, gaming and screen movie/commercials library computer room but that was enough for us. Without the crowds we could play Xbox, Nintendo switch, PlayStation and do Just Dance for long periods. Really enjoyed that there was plenty of space and not being overwhelmed with crowds. The theaters inside are great too. You might want to plan your visit around a Screening by looking online before you go otherwise there are clips playing when movies aren’t showing. Kids under 12free adults around 20 bucks or so. Thanks for being patient with my friend who is autistic paley center. We’ll be back soon. **************Btw Take note of their hours of operation when planning your visit.
PaleyLand a huge disappointment. We traveled from Long Island after seeing a Gabbys Dollhouse ad. My 4 yo was super excited to meet her fav character. We got there yesterday and the program showed that Gabby wasn't there today. We were told other meet and greets will be happening. 90% of the program was movies played in the theater. We went to the theater and nobody was there. Of course, who wants to pay to go watch the same shows you can watch at home with the kids. The train was in a very small room packed with people.
We went downstairs and only saw Rudolph and Santa. The characters show up every 30 min, so between one character and the other there was nothing for my kid to do. The crafts were printed paper and markers in a small packed room.
We were there for 25 min. As we were leaving, Snoopy was arriving and my kid went to wave at him. Immediately a women started yelling at her (4yo) "6 FEET APART! 6 FEET APART". My kid wasn't even touching the character and just wanted Snoopy to wave back at her (didn't happen either). We were also showed our vaccination cards upon arrival and wore masks the whole time. Someone who is terrified about the virus shouldn't be working here.
A waste of my time and money.
It was great experience because it was safe, comfortable and very welcoming to families. The staff was kind and courteous to my son and I.
A hidden gem for fans of the media and entertainment industry. Great educational program for children and conversation spaces for those interested in the future of media and the role it plays in society.
We came here because it was definitely a place for kids to enjoy. There's a large amount of computers and video games for attendees. There's also a lot of photo op opportunities. The places are very clean orderly and well staffed.
Terrific place! Would be easy to spend hours here watching documentaries and special pieces - from the history of Polaroid to the Kobe Bryant story.
I want to the NFL trophy viewing at this venue and I absolutely enjoyed it. This place is well worth your time. If you see any of that you life and it's at this venue you should definitely go.
This place is great for all sorts of exhibits. They even offer gaming. This month they're featuring black history month and honoring Kobe Bryant.
Extremely cool experience for anyone with interest in media history. Constantly rotating exhibits and an incredible repository of archival footage of everything under the sun. On my visit, I spent time looking through the Olympics footage and coverage collection and barely scratched the surface.
Additionally, they have a VR and gaming exhibit on the 5th floor for anyone who hasn't experienced it, not fully worth it if you have extensive VR experience. For anyone wanting a better connection to history, I highly recommend a visit.
If your a gamer and love things that have to do with technology then this place is a must go. 100% recommend
