The Penny Farthing reviews
19Fun little bar, the two bartenders were really busy so sometimes hard to get drinks but I'm quick and easy to grab a draft beer once we have their attention or a cocktail.
The $5 espresso martinis on Wednesdays cannot be beat! Always a great vibe. They didn't put the coffee beans in our espresso martinis this time, which was kind of a bummer since that definitely adds to the presentation. Overall, I will be back because the deal is just too good.
This place used to be my favorite place to come for their steak salad.after covid.the place
became horrible I almost broke my teeth on glass.totally disgusting
Great tavern with friendly service. Had some beers and nachos. Nachos were some of the best I have had. Cheese was bubbly and browned and was nit just on the top layer.
This place is nice. We always go there for lunch and sometimes we have our Christmas, Farewell lunch their or small events. We love the place because it is quick and close by our workplace. The place is always jam pack so you have to call ahead of time your order if you have a party and we always do. For appetizers the spinach dip with chips so yummy my all time favorite. And for the main course I have salmon or most of the Penny Pasta which had shrimps and arugula which for me its delish. For the dessert- lava cake is my fave always.
All around great. Hostess gracious to turn on our favorite team and the bartender was on top of it all. Will be back soon to try the food!
Very friendly service and comfortable seating at the bar. We had quite a large portion of really tasty nachos with guacamole, salsa, melted cheese and tender strips of steak. Wide range of beers and hard liqueurs. Spacious place but crowded on a Saturday night like everywhere in Manhattan at this time of day. Nevertheless, I checked it and of course I recommend it!
Avoid this restaurant because it is unsanitary. They allow large dogs to roam. Waiting people pet and feed the dogs while serving food to customers.
Stumbled upon this place while looking for a bar in the area- it was really cute and decked out for Xmas at the time. Their espresso martini is yum if you’re a fan!
Incredible music by DJ amores on the weekend and chill staff but very hostile customer service by entitled server- Jacob. Don't get scammed by him and order from a different server, your experience here will be much better.
$5 espresso martinis during happy hour! This place is amazing! So are the staff, our servers Grace, Sarah and Steph made sure we were satisfied throughout our meal. Couldn’t recommend a better Irish pub in New York!
This is a very cozy place to relax, eat some comfort food and share a beer with friends. The staff is friendly and it's an inexpensive place to drop in.
Nice and relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. The bill wasn't dumped on our table while eating the last bite, so there was no rush or pressure to get us out the door asap. This is very much appreciated.
Very good food, made with fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. The homemade fries are delicious!
Love the European style atmosphere and decoration.
A tasty burger and Crispy fries made me happy we tried this place. Spacious layout made for a relaxed lunch. Might try dinner next.
Cool atmosphere. Food is good but portions, and quality do not warrent the prices. Staff is friendly but not really attentive. French onion soup is pretty amazing though
An incredible spot in the heart of NYU with always a cool vibe. It gets packed with college kids over the weekend but is a pretty decent spot to grab happy hour or a game with beer on tap or some amazing cocktails for a date.
Hop in for a quick beer and some positive energy!
I think they changed chefs cuz the Roasted Brussel Sprouts were boiled, but they served it on a cast iron? I definitely would not have ordered if the menu item say Boiled Brussel Sprouts.not worth the money? Their Bolognese was good though. So get that.
Came in last night for dinner and drinks and had an amazing time! We sat at the bar; bar staff was so kind and accommodating! Recommended two of their specialty cocktails that were delicious. Food was great. Overall wonderful experience - will definitely be back!
