I had a great experience with Dennis and Pianotek! I bought a relatively new Yamaha U1 at a very competitive price that I loved from the moment I played it. The instrument has a rich, powerful, and consistent sound and feel throughout the entire range. Dennis was low key / no-pressure about letting me take my time and answering all of my questions afterward, including a couple of additional phone conversations. Delivery was quick, professional, and easy. Dennis also gave me lots of information about how to care for the piano.

The best experience with piano tuning! We hired Pianotek for tuning our Yamaha C 70, which is a little bit of a different beast. Dennis was so knowledgable - he's really a master at his craft! I am always a little apprehensive when I walk into a piano store. The first time I went to Pianotek, I met Dennis and he made me fell comfortable right off the bat. I tried their uprights and grands, and I could tell their pianos are of the highest caliber. I couldn't make up my mind between a large upright or a small grand. I left that day only to return again. I had tired out an old Steinway grand that was for sale privately. I then contacted Dennis with questions about the piano, since I remembered having such a good experience with him. He advised me on what could go wrong with a piano that is practically 100 yrs.old. After speaking further, he asked me what kind of space do I have for a small grand. I told him it was a Co-Op apartment. Once he heard that, he suggested an upright, since a grand would be too overwhelming. I imagine another piano dealer would've tried to sell me a grand. That kind of honesty is definitely rare these days. His advice saved me the costs of repairing a very old piano and even more, a sensible choice for my space. Returning to the store, I finally decided on a Yamaha U1 and couldn't be happier. The sound and touch of the piano is just perfect, and looks just as beautiful as it plays!
