The Post BK reviews
16I love the black court and all that but, you guys got to do something about the floors being so slippery. I feel like I'm on a ice skating rink
Wonderful spot for kids to play soccer & basketball indoors on cold or rainy days. Wonderful staff too! They do a great job for kid birthdays as well!
A portion of the staff is very unprofessional and rude in general. Horrible communication, not helpful in any way. The courts are nice though
It’s a nice gym, I went there to play volleyball specifically, and absolutely loved the floor. It’s nice and grippy, the only complaint is those huge lights on the ceiling, gets pretty hard to hit the ball sometimes but otherwise no complaints
They need to re-do their floors. So many dead spots. And the ceiling lights will literally blind you. But the space is beautiful
Clean, solid facility. Outfitted with security attendant there to support health and well being for participants. Dope Brooklyn mural, great for pics on the outside wall, and a host of thrift shopping nearby.
Have been trying to rent a court for weeks actually getting someone to speak to you is impossible
Great gym, even better staff. Harris and The Post BK team are very accommodating, organized, and welcoming. Highly recommend
Very friendly and helpful staff that love to joke around.
The gym itself tends to hand dusty floors and really bright ceiling lights.
There are 4 courts separated by curtains coming down from the ceiling. People tend to open the curtains to pass and not close them.
The people who work there are really nice and make you feel comfortable. They are on time and are very particular about timings. Great place
This place is huge but very cold during the winter months they have no heat on the courts but the bathrooms are very warm and heated. They have beautiful skylights. They hold basketball tournaments in here. In the summer months they put up the gates to let a breeze in. They charge $10.00 per person for games. And its only street parking no parking lots. They host the Rose Classic Basketball Games here. Its very clean and beautiful.
Went for a morning Open Run with Indoor Hoop on 2/22/22 in the morning. Place opened on time. Staff was kind. Vending machine is available takes card/Apple Pay. Water fountain needs to be fixed. Bathrooms are clean. Overall dope experience. Here are a few photos.
Rude Friday evening Lady made me blv she own the place as they are always annoyed. Gives you a look that you made a mistake going there bothering them when they are watching tv shows on their phone.
Then last month I met AMAZING WELCOMING saturday afternoon stuff. Not going fridays anymore
Update 12/something: I give them two stars now for setting up on time and being respectful when they tell us they have to take down the nets.
-
Update 11/13: they set up 25 minutes late now. It’s happened twice already. If you paid for 2 hours you’re out ~25% of your playing time.
-
They set-up late and take the net down 10 minutes early. So you’ll be short 15 minutes
They will NOT let you know they’re taking the nets down. Staff just goes in and takes it down while you’re playing. Find another place to rent if you can. Very unprofessional.
I've only been here several times (with different groups) but everytime, I feel like they don't really respect our playing time (ie: starting late, kicking us out early).
The courts aren't the best in terms of traction (gets dusty). However, I do appreciate that they try to take precautions for Covid. (Taking to your temperature and limiting the amount of people per court).
To sum up my feelings towards this place: I don't feel like I get good value for what I pay for but I still come here since there isn't many options right now to play indoors due to the pandemic.
*This review was during Covid-19 Pandemic* As an athletic facility there is a lot to desire. As a place to play basketball and get your hoop on.look no further, you have found a place. You can register at the front desk via cash or cashapp or sign-up on indoor hoops for general 5v5 runs. If you were looking to host your own runs, you can through visiting the website. The staff is understanding and friendly (separate The Post staff vs. People hosting runs) and they have the usual facilities of bathroom and water. The place is well conditioned and floor is hardwood around a basketball court. 3/10 on the slipperyness and weighted curtain dividers between courts so no loose balls that could risk injury. Need a mask to get in but optional to wear during playing. They do take temperatures as part of Covid-19 protocols (stay home if you feel unwell! Please!)
