The Purple Elephant reviews
27The food is regularly fresh and delicious, employees hands out good service. I really like how clean it is and atmosphere. Would recommend to others.
Staff was inattentive and slow, even though the restaurant only had 3 tables being served. Food was bland and warm. Like over priced fast food, to be honest. The table we were sat at also was underneath a vent that was dripping water right by us. Not worth the hype at all!
Love the food here! And the atmosphere is sweet too! Today we sat out on the deck enjoying the sun on the water!
This place was great, very eclectic menu and very healthy all around! Loved their take on a Bloody Mary. Picante Elegante with a Costa Rican beer! A bit pricey but a great place!
Came to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation and could not have been more disappointed. We were starving so we ordered an appetizer when we ordered are drinks. Got the drinks, then watched as the table next to us (who sat after us) got both their appetizer AND entree before we even got the app. When we asked the server where the appetizer was his response was "oh yeah I forgot what was it. ". The response alone left such a bad taste. Maybe we didn't order the right things but the vegan wings were awful and the chicken coconut curry special lacked any kind of flavor. 2 stars for the chili. Also throwing two slices of jalapeno in a cocktail doesn't equate to 'muddled jalapeno' for the Jala margarita.
Feels like a place in a small town, on a Caribbean island. Delish thai cauliflower, veggie burger, cozy & cool vibe
Love this place! Only truly vegan sit down restaurant in the area I know of (not everything is vegan). It's more than nice enough for a dinner date and at the same time casual. I've been here about five times and every experience was good, good food, good service, good atmosphere. My two favorites are vegan mac and cheese (truly amazing and even though it's yellow there's no tumeric, that's a good thing to me) and buffalo cauliflower salad.
When to Northport with my son and wanted to find a restaurant that had vegan fare. Found it here the food was fantastic and so was the ambience. Looking forward to going there next time I visit.
I have been here a few times and the food is AMAZING! I am a vegan and it’s wonderful to be able to sit down a have a meal start to finish without having to check about ingredients! The amount of options are outstanding! The place is cozy and chill. By far one of my favorite places to eat!
Food was amazing. Eclectic, latin, and healthy. Prices were a little on high side but well worth it. Our waitress was sweet and kind, the older hostess had attitude problem. Will go back for sure.
Very good food, period! Moderate to higher prices. Good variety of choices for vegans and beast eaters. Recommended.
AMAZING VEGAN SPOT 1000% RECOMMEND. Honestly super delicious food and after becoming a vegan it was so nice to see a menu full of options. Almost put me to tears
Love this place the staff are friendly and very welcoming. Gets busy but the staff handles it well go their with enough time to eat. Cauliflower are bomb!
I LOVE this place! If you want to eat out but still keep with a healthy lifestyle, THIS is the great choice! The menu is extensive but new items are added often. Even the dessert was decadent yet packed with nutrition. Dark chocolate avocado mousse even my bf who doesn't follow my food choices thought it was amazing!
Vegan & Non Vegan options. Small quaint dining room/ Bar area. $$ but definitely recommend.
I shared an amazing meal today, the food Vegan food was amazing. The Far Out Chillie Fries were beyong amazing. Yucca made up the fries toped with an amazing lentile based chlie. Supper yummy great portion. "Erin's Most Amazing Eggplant" sandwich on chiabatta bread best fried eggplant and the badil aioli was real good. The buffalo cauliflower was spicy and fried to perfection. Great portions had left overs to enjoy. You can enjoy an amazing meal for a great value that was priced perfectly.
Great for healthy and vegan choices. I enjoyed the smashed lemonade. We need more places like this on long island.
The purple elephant always has delicious vegan dishes and a fantastic staff. This place is well worth a visit.
I wish managment can focus on costumer service and friendliness to costumers.
As a native Costa Rican i wasn't impress by food
Great food, some workers have slight attitudes bit 4/5 employees are super nice. Can be cold at certain tables during winter. A little pricey but the food quality is worth every penny!
