The Smith reviews
15A very nice spot to have dinner before catching an opera next door. It is always busy though, even during the week, so make sure to have a reservation.
Johnny Benny tastes really weird. To be fair, the food is not the worst but it’s definitely overpriced: (
This review is extremely long overdue. I had the absolute best experience here ever thanks to our waitress Michelle! She was the absolute sweetest and best waiter I have ever had and the entire table agreed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. I will definitely come back here the next time I’m in town. Hopefully she still works there as this experience was about 9 months ago. The food and ambiance were also great. Overall 10/10!
A friend of mine celebrated his welcome home dinner in the back private room and the food was so delicious! I wish I had a picture to post! Not to mention the atmosphere and good vibes. I'll definitely be returning.
We had the goat cheese omelette and the grilled chicken sandwich! Both were really good! Also service was great! Definitely coming back!
Incredibly rude and prejudice bouncers during Santacon, that got in my face and yelled at me because they were having a bad day. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Overpriced drinks and antisemitism don’t fly.
Excellent! The chicken between bricks was very juicy. The taste was very good. My husband eat a pasta and they didn’t offer Parmesan cheese, that would be nice. But in general it was a great dinner. The ambience was nice too
Great food, friendly service, short waiting time - BUT the noise level is enormous. Still recommended because the noodles, mussels and burgers are simply great! Attention: the water with the meal is included in the price, another plus point.
Aside from the incredibly long wait times, the food and drinks were top notch. I was there with a large group and we had a great time.
The food was good and the staff were great. It was loud and hard to hear the people I was with. It was the holidays so not sure if this was the norm. Overall a great experience. I will be going back. Just not for a quite date.
Food was great, service was ok, the server didn’t know what seasoning was and it became a thing, nothing a little training doesn’t fix:)
I found this American restaurant from reviews. Overall, it’s really great. It’s the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in New York so far.
I ordered BRICK PRESSED CHICKEN with MAC + CHEESE. And added a serving of BABY SPINACHN. The portion of food is not small, it is a portion for two people to share. The macaroni and cheese is rich in flavor and will make you taste the aroma of flour and cheese bite after bite. The chicken is brick-pressed and the skin of the chicken is grilled to a crispy and fragrant texture. The chicken is very It's tender, with skinned mashed potatoes and some spinach underneath. The sauce is very special. It's a sauce made from lemon chicken juice. It feels very layered and delicious, with a bit of a red wine sauce feel, but I'm not sure. I've never tasted it. But delicious food.
The service is very good. Two large bottles of water are given as soon as the table is served. The transparent one is water and the green bottle is sparkling water. The billing method was clearly explained, and it was a great dining experience.
During my two-week trip to New York, I will definitely visit again before leaving New York.
Amaizing food, amaizing service amaizing place. Caitlin was amaizing 100% recomend this place.
It's a classic New York restaurant with the kind of interior you would immediately imagine when you think of a typical New York establishment. For me, it's the best place to go for a proper American breakfast - eggs, fried potatoes, and bread - served in generous portions of delicious food. The staff is attentive and provides quick service. I love starting my day here, so I highly recommend it.
