I would have given a 5 rating except for the sometimes long wait to see the doctor. Dr. Chapman and his staff are very professional and caring. I would definitely recommend this practice.

If it was possible to give NO STARS I would, when I have some extra time and im actually comfortably sitting I will write a book as to why you should not go here!

Been going there for years. They are wonderful, right to the point and yet very kind, the doctor's know their patients pain and find new ways to treat them. Hard working people there. They care!

Been trying to speak to an actual person all day for an appointment because no one answers the phone there. Left two voicemails but did not receive a call back. Very hard to communicate by way of text message.

Waiting for an authorization for a month for a procedure. I called the office weeks ago and they said it was processed on November 30th. I called my insurance today, December 30th and they never received a request for authorization. I called the doctors office several times today and have not been able to get through to a person. If you're in pain, avoid this office unless you are willing to continue to remain in pain.

This office follows poor protocol for Covid. The waiting room is over crowded and limited social distancing for patients. During my 2 visits I overheard reception argue with Several patients about payment, making patients’ take off mask to Debate and argue. Ugh!

Patients that came in after me went in to see doctor before me. I asked reception why people went in front of me and they said patient had an earlier appointment when I had a first appointment for 8 AM. Really?
After I spoke up, I was called in. At both of my visits I never seen doctor Chapman. There was NO sanitizer in room where you wait for doctor and the resolution the other doctor gave me was, take a shot to mask pain.

If you have questions about osteoarthritis, osteoporosis or back discomfort, don’t go here. All this office does is inject needles. Not a clean place to be during a pandemic and workers treat you like a number.

I was suffering with excruciating lower back pain for 8 years. I couldn't do very much around the house suchlike cleaning, standing to long, bending, even getting into the bath tub to shower was very painful. They helped me get better by implanting a spinal cord stimulater in my back. I feel fantastic this is the thing that has ever happened to me. I love these people GB.

I have been a patient for 20 yrs with Dr Maloney when merged
I stayed with Spine and Pain.
I always took urine text regurily then one month I was told they was Morphine found in my urine which can be true or false reading then 2 months was clean then one month was told by Dr Alexis he was cutting me down to 30 pills a month so I said no problem next month came to office urine was clean but also did not show pain med so he sent P. A in to dismiss me, and closed his door when I walked
Pass. I tried asked them left messages to vet my X-rays sent over to new Doctor but was never sent. I was so humiliated by Dr Alexis injections ate. Not for everybody lost my job because I could not get to work on a normal basis so hope he is happy also so unproffesional to put off patients so he and other Doctors cam take new pictures

Don't judge a book by its cover. This office has he worst care I've ever experienced. Been going over a year now and only seen the same Dr.twice. Each visit I spend the first half going over my case from the beginning and I have to tell them what my insurance says (Isn't that backwards?). They routinely get my prescriptions wrong. Good luck trying to get on touch with anyone, you need to talk to a different office that forwards messages or leave voicemails since they hide their number from you. With all this if you complain at all they treat you as a problem patient who doesn't get their system. Using this place is one of the worst decisions in my medical history.

UPDATE: Since the facility saw this review and tried to deflect it by taking zero accountability I thought I'd give just ONE of many examples of this place's incompetents.

One of the Drs says I should get the nerves in my knees blocked and I'll hear from them within a week. Month goes by and nothing. I return for my monthly visit, see a new Dr because you never see the same one twice, they say they forgot to contact me but I need an MRI on my knees first anyway. I schedule an MRI but the MRI place needs to know why I am getting the MRI. I don't know, Dr. Chapman's office wants it. All month the MRI place calls Chapman's office but can't get any response from them. The MRI place then tells me next time I am in the Chapman's office to call them and hand the Dr.my phone so they can actually talk to someone. Even other Dr's can't reach them. So next month I go back and start all over with my new monthly Dr.and they say forget the MRI, I don't need it. They don't know why the MRI was ordered in the first place. A month wasted that was high stress when a simple phone call would have solved things. They set up the test procedure, it works, and now I need the real one. Next month I see them, new Dr, no clue what's going on, I tell them what my case is, and they say ok well let's do the nerve blocking. Four months but we are getting there. They promise I'll hear from them in 2-4 days. Never got a phone call. After a month my insurance says no to the procedure. I call the Drs office three times about it, they tell me next time I come in we will make a new plan. Month five I show up. New Dr.who knows nothing about my case. I start to tell her about my knee pain and she asks me have I thought about nerve blocking my knees? Yes, we started that 4 months ago. She says great, let's do the main procedure. I tell her insurance blocked it. She laughed and says, "Oh well, they tell me nothing. " Not only does the Dr.admit they don't know my case but she laughs about it. She offers to get the office person who works with insurance. I say ok, the gentleman comes in. He didn't know the insurance denied the procedure (I spoke to someone on the phone three times about it) and he'll looking into it. WHY HASN'T ANYONE ALREADY LOOKED INTO IT! He said I'd probably hear from him tomorrow. That was 10 days ago, I've heard nothing. It's been over 5 months of this.

That's four month of them never getting back to me or knowing anything about my case. When my last visit upset me so much I posted the above review. WITHIN A WEEK I get a response to my review with them trying to blame me. So I can't get them to interact with me about my health but they go out of their way on a weekend to respond to a negative maps review. Seriously? They care more about a negative maps review than the health of their patient.

I could tell you other stories of their incompetence. When I go there my blood pressure skyrockets because I am so stressed to see them. You shouldn't have a Dr.who stresses you and makes you keep on top of them for them to remotely do their job.

UPDATE 2 Years Later: My new Dr found out the insurance turned down my knee operation because Chapman's office filed the wrong paperwork, (Chapman asked for back injections, not knee). I still get bills from Chapman's office for procedures I never had.

Avoid this place.

The most unprofessional office that I have ever had the experience of dealing with.
We have proven text confirmations of appointments being made and then when we arrive we are told the appointment was canceled. Extremely Unprofessional and highly incompetent staff that can not manage to keep appointment that was scheduled. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Read in entirety please!
I see Dr. Marshall,

He is a rare gem, actually he is my second doctor there because the first one left to the Long Island office.

Since the switch I am now narcotic pain pill free and due to some procedures he has done my neck pain is down a whole lot. I still have allot of work to do as my entire spine is bad but the neck was the worst and thanks to him my neck is doing much much better.

To clarify on me calling him a rare gem, he actually cares about your well being and you can just tell from one meeting with him. I honestly couldn't recommend a better spine and pain Dr.in NYC

Update:
Dr Marshall left this place and is at Columbia university hospital now. I was given an injection in my shoulder that caused a vasovagal attack instead of helping I was yelled atand kicked out forced to ride the train home covered in vomit and shame. Remember they took me off opiates months before this nor did I abuse so they have no reason for thisdo not ever go here worst place ever
